Am I the only one that wishes a game like this would come to VC? I'm still waiting on final fantasy 2 and 3 (or 4 and 6 w/e), but either they're keeping real hush hush about it, or they're taking their sweet time to release some of the more awesome RPGs.

I would love to see Golden Sun on the VC, but since they haven't put any old handheld games on any of the downloadable services, I wouldn't hold out for it. There's also like a ton of SNES RPGs they have yet to release, so those would be way more likely to come about before GS, I think.

I guess it makes sense that all the handheld games go to DS. I neither want to play on a tiny screen anymore, nor want to spend anymore money on another "console;" I guess I'm kinda screwed then.

Bad, overrated RPGs with "field commands"? Yeah, Breath of Fire. It doesn't go too overboard with pointless and way too long dialogue scenes, though, and the different characters actually play different from each other, so it's not QUITE as crappy.
And no, Golden Sun isn't coming. Duh. It's a GBA game.
I think the GBA slot on the DS will prevent any GBA VC. Doubtful on this one.
They removed the GBA slot from the DSI
There aren't any handheld games on the Wii VC. Nintendo also mentioned that they had no plans to release older games on DSiWare, so you're dreams aren't coming true anytime soon. If you already have the game, a gamecube, and one of those "things" that goes underneath that lets you play GBA games, then you can play it on your TV.

On Console: Not happening. You're more likely to see Goldeneye 007 on the next Virtual Console update and we all know that's not happening.
On Handheld: Despite Nintendo not planning on DSi Virtual Console right now, I'm sure if the Nintendo DSi becomes an exclusive, we might see an Virtual Console. Then if it support GBA games, it could happen.

If Golden Sun was on SNES, it would probably be possible to see it on VC. But it's not, and Nintendo has so far not supported the idea of releasing GBA games on VC, so my answer is: Hell to the no.
