That's right. I find Wii remote covers, and wrist straps to be too 'confining'.
Seriously, though. I really just always preferred the feel of the conroller without the cover. It kinda feels more accurate too, but that's probably just in my head. I stopped using the wrist strap, because I hate when it whips around on more 'thrash heavy' games. And I've yet to kill anyone, or destroy a TV.

Nah, I'm just joking. I'm not too fussed about the cover, I have one Wiimote with and one Wiimote without but I like the wrist strap but I don't actually use it all the time.

I only took my cover off because the one I bought in '06 (those that were slim and tight-fitting) finally tore apart from removing it so many times over the years, and also because I got that cool NES controller decal from an issue of Nintendo Power. As for the strap, I still use it, but only for games that require using both the Wiimote and Nunchuck. Not that I need to use it, it's just out of habit. Lately, though, I find that I'm using it less and less...

Well, ya know, it's also that the Wiimote was designed without the cover in mind. Balance, heft, feel, was all decided on ahead of time to make it as good as they could get it. Then people started launching Wiimotes through the walls of their homes, and Nintendo slapped this huge rubbery thing over it, to cover their arses.
I haven't used the cover since I got it. Terrible thing. I also don't use the straps. Terrible things too. I only use them when someone else comes over and we are playing a party game which involves lots of Wii Waggle. I don't want any accidents.

I hate the Wiimote cover. They make my hands sweat which ironically makes the Wiimote tougher to hold. I've never used the strap and never had any problems for lack of it.
My cat chewed the wrist straps, and I bought my wii before the covers were included (i never did bother to order the free ones). So ya, I've been "going commando" with my wii for the past 4 years, and have no injuries to report.

Yeah, the Wiimote cover really isn't comfortable. At all. I bought my Wii before Nintendo packaged the Wiimotes with the covers, but I tried playing a game with the cover and it wasn't really comfortable in my arms at all. I understand Nintendo's logic for doing it, but they just don't work well at all.

Oh thank god I thought this thread was going to be about playing the Wii naked lol. I was afraid of seeing some pics.
Anyway I play with the Wii cover off and that was because back when I first got Mario Kart Wii it was a pain to keep taking the cover off and than putting it back on when using the Wii Wheel. My Wii has the old wrist straps and I use those ones. My brothers Wii on the other hand has the new wrist strap and I dont like how those ones lock down. I just dont like things tight around my wrists which is why I dont like wrist watches.

Cant really say I hate them. I got a bit of small room, and sometimes when me and my brother and sister cram in the same room to play Wii Party or something similar, couple of times someone has swung controller right at someone's face, and one time even at TV! Thank god the rubber was on.
