Over at Sunsoft's forums at sunsoftgames.com, the guy who runs the site recently said he would love to bring Gimmick! to the VC. This would be awesome, considering how rare this game is. If what I have read is correct, it was only released in Japan and Scandanavia.
"Gimmick! was released by Sunsoft in 1992 in Japan. Shortly thereafter, the game was released in Scandinavia, Europe under the title Mr. Gimmick!. The game was not overly successful and did not find a sizeable audience until the resurgence of NES via computer emulation. Though a cult classic of sorts, Gimmick! never received a proper sequel. The game was reviewed in the July 1992 issue of the American Electronic Gaming Monthly magazine, however, the game never came out in North America." - Wikipedia, so take that for what it's worth
Mr. Ireland also said that they have another VC game approved by Nintendo and that we can expect it to possibly be released next month (the site will put up a press release when they learn exactly when). I have a strong feeling it'll be Journey to Silius.

No, but I do have an account there (same name as my NL username).
It's just a hype all of a sudden especially with Ufouria: The Saga also being released earlier this month which is another obscure but quality Sunsoft game.
Mr. Gimmick?! Yes now all I need is Cocoron and Little Samson, (and that one sleeping one based on a anime movie).
i said this before, but ive got cocoron coming in the mail on cart. and since little samson probably wont be coming to vc as well im getting that cart soon too as far as mr. gimmick, id hope to hell they drop it on vc. games like cocoron, ufouria, gimmick and little samson are my kinda games.

thats what i was thinking too, little nemo...games like that and bio mircale...i love weird games.

Whats the big deal about Mr. Gimmick? I've barely heard of it before. Its a very obscure title.
It´s a decent Sunsoft plattformer. I wish I´d bought a copy back in the NES days, even here in Sweden the game sells for about 300 euro. VC? Yes please.
The Japanese version is superior, though. The soundtrack in the Scandinavian version is pretty bad, but the Japanese one is one of the best on the system. So here's hoping we get "Gimmick!" and not "Mr. Gimmick!" if it finally shows up.
