Topic: Forgotten Sands classics POP

I just read somewhere that the unlockable classic Prince of Persia in the Wii version is not the SNES title from 1992 but rather the Mac Version (1989). Can someone clarify. Thanks in advance

That would suck if it was, as I hear the SNES version was considered the best of the original game (as it had several extra levels).
But I suppose there might be some extra copyrights to worry about (as NCS/Masaya developed it (I think NCS' catalog is now owned by Hudson) as well as Konami published the US and EU SNES versions.)

Yeah sad to say it's not the Snes version. It's the same version that was also unlockable in sands of time. The mac version I think. I guess somebody got the wrong info and then soon everyone was believing it to be the Snes game. But it's not.

Nah the Snes version is quite a bit different. The areas of the game have been redesigned and they added new music to it. The Prince's sprite looks different too. I'm not sure why so many people were told before the release of Forgotten sands that it would include the Snes game. Anyone who's played it would know it's not the same as the original. It's more of a remake with 16-bit graphics.

Right, so it's not the Mac version either then. It's a remake? i don't know why they said based on SNES version, maybe on certain aspects of gameplay? I only ever played the DOS version!

Well the game at it's core is basically the same. What they did was update the graphics and added a few tweaks here and there. It's kinda like when they made Super Mario All stars. Same game just a slight upgrade from the original. I'm sure there's some videos of it on youtube.
