Thanks for the feedback folks, one last question is it worth getting for the single player mode alone as 1000 points is a big outlay? I don't normally get this style of game that's all!
It's quite easy compared to other games of this type, although the final two stages can be quite challenging until you figure out the best way to tackle them.
Which is? The castle stage is slaughtering me. The best I managed was 98% and then the timer ran out! Those damned birds and skeletons!
Especially when they tuck theirselves right in the far reaches of the background. Sneaky beasts.
I enlisted the help of my wife yesterday to see if co-op would make things easier. Whilst it was tricky to co-ordinate so we scrolled the screen at the right time it did allow a free pass when you die. After several attempts we cracked it with 8 seconds to spare and then beat the surprisingly easy final boss. Why do the bosses get easier the further you get into the game?
Wow, fun game, From the sound of it this game is short, makes me wish they had something open where you could download a few new levels. Online play mode would have been fun too.
Yep, see also Blood Brothers (another arcade game from TAD, but this one uses joystick rather than trackball control), Shootanto and Sin and Punishment (though these games take it up a notch with the moving backgrounds and changing perspectives).
