I was woundering what your thoughts on Final Fantasy VI (or III) being on VC anywhere. I was woundering why only 1-4 were annoucned but then what about V and VI. VI was my favorite Final Fantasy of all time! I would really hate to see it not come to VC. Also I was woundering why on the subject of Final Fantasy where the ones in the US are, Sqaure has annocuned I and IV for America and I'll gladly wait for them becuase both are great in my opinion, but I am asking to see if there is any new information regarding whether ot not they are coming to America! So tell me what you think about why they didn't announce Final Fantasy V and VI for any of the VC's and where Final Fantasy and Final Fantasy IV stand for our US VC as of now!
i couldn't tell you. IV and VI are probably the most popular (and the best, in my opinion), and VI probably the superior of the two... so i couldn't begin to give you a reason.

Man, would that be nice! I would sell my GBA copy just to download this game. But considering I'm far from being done, that's not gonna happen anytime soon. Although, we'd still need to have Final Fantasy I and Final Fantasy II/IV first. Final Fantasy V, on the other hand, would be very interesting. [I'd love to get a chance to play one of the very first fantranslated turn-based RPGs in video game history]
Starboy91: I don't think FF5 will be out here in the US unless its by remake!
I know it's not gonna hit the US VC anytime soon, but consider the possibilites! But, you do have a point, Square would have to go a long way to translate the original SFC game. Bummer. Although if they're making it for the DS, I solely ask that they keep the graphic style as they were back in 1992 and use the bottom screen as a map, and not add any inane dungeons to make it even longer.
remakes should most definitely NOT always be like the original. sometimes they could benefit greatly by sticking closely and translating and porting to a newer console. but sometimes, the remake far surpasses the original because of its re-invisioning. where would the new Boy and His Blob be if it were sticking to the original game??

Yeah. Why do you think I skipped out on Final Fantasy II/IV DS?? Some classics were just never meant to have revamped graphics (just doesn't feel right) in the remakes.
I like remakes better when they contain original graphics, when the original graphics were good or pretty good. But I did get FF3 because that seems to be the only way to get it outside of importing...
FF3 was also available for the GBA, as far as I recall. One of the reasons I loved Chrono Trigger for the DS is because Square have preserved the graphics, music, gameplay, story mode (though dialogue was altered some) and all those endings.
Personally I don't care much for FFVI, it's my least favourite of the Advance games. The WoR sucks, and the Kefka fanboys really annoy me since I expected something special from him, but got nothing more than a clown.
It would of been nice if FFIII DS offered the the option of the original graphics, because they were quite nice, and the game would've played much quicker. Also they could've had larger encounters like the original, and thus bosses wouldn't attack twice a round to make up for small encounters..
I don't think FF5 will be out here in the US unless its by remake!
It's been released twice stateside. It was ported to the PS1, and then released on the GBA Advance series. So if they really wanted releasing it wouldn't be a big problem.
Well with Chrono Trigger I played a friends version, hes a Chrono Trigger nut, I need to pick it up, but I've played both versions for at least an hour or more and they feel the same! Awesome!
Digki: It was like a port and still a remake, but I was simply stating that we will never see the original Super Famicon version of Final Fantasy V here in America fully translated, the PS1 can still be considered a remake!
The PS1 version isn't a remake at all, they changed the language, and little, if anything, more. Making it simply a port, same game, different console.
