Topic: FIFA 10 - Misunderstood

In my humble opinion FIFA 10 rocks! Its addictive, simple to pick up, difficult to master, it looks great (compared to PES) and has a great online community. I admit that it doesn't boast some of the deeper football mechanics ala PES (which I also own) BUT it doesn't need to. EA knows PES has cornered the market when it comes to football simulation and has given us a great arcade football game instead and that's fine by me! I've not had this much fun with a football game in a long time! Hopefully some of you guys feel the same way, let me know what you like about it if you do, my EA username is Dru1984, I look forward to playing some of you sometime!

Can you play with Mii characters in FIFA 10?

Unfortunately not

I don't like it... sold it after 3 days ... I am a huge fifa fan ... own every fifa game since 2003 - really every single one! ... maybe FOR YOU it's a great game ... but it's not a fifa game anymore...

Didn't Fifa 09 give you the option to play with Mii characters? If so, I need to try and find a copy of it.

personally i think i couldn't think that i could support EA sports tittles on the Wii. i know its arcadey but the 360/PS3 version got real soccer simulations that are also better then PES. i mean the graphics engine for madden 10 wii is being used for a downloadable game for the HD systems.

But fifa 10 is a great games and i might get it for my 360 this week.

I really TRIED with Fifa 09.

I never felt I was in control of my team fully though.

And it's WAY too easy.

I feel you, I'd be vexded if someone messed with an in-going series that I loved. But I tend not to think of FIFA10 as a continuation of the series but more as something new. I've seen a lot of used copies in game stores though, which is a shame because being different does not make it a bad game.

I was going to get it but I've been told that the advanced play from Fifa 09 has been removed - i.e. you can no longer control your player by pointing your remote at them, pressing the B button and "dragging" them to where you want them to run (full contol and no nunchuck even needed). It was such a perfect contol method that I can not believe it would be taken out!

Now I've heard you can't even control where the player runs to ... seriously, that can't be true!

Last time I played FIFA I couldn't have adequate control of my off-ball players, allowing controlling the overall team instead of one player each time. For this reason alone, PES for the Wii is a far superior game.

In your opinion, FIFA 10 has a decent assist addition, which allows for decent plays on and off the ball, its also much easier to pick up for those who have never played before (I can't say the same for PES). I'd once again say PES for serious football (better control, options etc), FIFA for arcade fun (better graphics, all teams, functional yet simple controls, good online, also the remote speaker acts as a claxon, right spelling?, when you score! Love it!)
