SEGA support the VCA from what we have seen with Zaxxon and Altered Beast so...when will this release or will it ever?

It's on the SEGA AGES 2500 series and apparently plays different to the other three games despite being loosely based on the first two games.

I actually love the series despite it being so, so hard!

Anyway...has anyone else played the Master System games to care about the Arcade version?

As you said, we already got Altered Beast. How could you possibly want anything else?

Because I'd like to play something that doesn't make me rage with anger.

It's sad to see the Arcade VC underused and just remembered that this game isn't well known outside of Japan...and this is the final FZ that hasn't had a VC release.

Anyway, I'd like a few more titles on the VC before it dies down completely.

Fantasy Zone DX... is it the one that's a fake retro game?
That is... Fantasy Zone II for the arcade was a Master System port. So, just for this compilation, Sega wrote a brand new arcade port of Fantasy Zone II that ran on vintage '80s hardware.
(some serious fans actually copied the ROMs from the compilation disc and stuck them on a real arcade board and it worked)

Oh, so it's relatively new then?

I guess as long as it can work on the actual Board 16 or whatever it was called then I can't see it being a problem for SEGA...after all...they put Wi-Fi in the first Puyo Puyo game.

Edit: the guys who made Fantasy Zone also created Quartet...another game that hasn't been put on the VC yet.
