It's out in NA today! According to the press release, it features up to 4-player multiplayer, 6 karts, 12 tracks, and Grand Prix and Time Attack modes. It looks like it has Mario Kart-esque items too, like Bowling Balls, Acceleration, and Lightning. The game is priced at 500 points, which is a heck of a deal if the game is good (which, given the track record on Family games, is dubious). So, has anyone taken the plunge yet?

So when do we get the review? I know we kinda have more important stuff to look at right now (The Nintendo Summit!!!!!!!) but I have to know!!!!!! If only for the inevitable humourous quotes if the wound is indeed "fatal" lol

Indeed. I'll have to buy All-Stars Racing at some point, since I hate Mario Kart Wii for its horribly unbalanced items.

Well since it is a pure rip off of MKWii maybe the items will be 'unbalanced' in Sega Kart Clone Racing as well?

If only people would learn to properly use and defend against items in MK - they world would have much less complaining! Complaining about items in MK is like complainging about 'live' pitiching in baseball - some things just take skill, strategy, and quick thinking.

Pure rip-off? I don't think so. And no, the items are not unbalanced.

Personally, I don't complain about MKWii's items because, as Starscream tuoched on, I know how to defend against them. But I admit I still get upset when I get Blue Shell'd in Coin Runners... (which happens more often than not since I'm usually the one on my team doing all the work).

MK Wii and S&S All Stars are both very good. Family Kart got a 1/10 from NL....that's the death nail for me!
