I was only able to play for 20 minutes last night cause of homework and whatnot. I'm playing right now. So far, I'm enjoying it but I've mostly been playing online.
I had no idea! My 6 year old son was checking for new releases and BAM! I instantly downloaded it! I went str8 to WFC play. A+ after 3 games! (took a lil' to get back into the Oldschool mode)... Knowing that you're playing against real people changes the strategy of ANY game. Makes it new again. I will post my friend code later; my son won't get off the game! He's into Track Editing! Hey "some", don't slam the simplicity of Oldschool. ALL of our electro-hyped, new consoles started there!
There's no leaderboards, no. Simply "RACE ANYONE" or "RACE FRIENDS". These points can unlock new colours for your bikes. Is it addictive? To some extent, yes, but for some it's a huge nostalgic factor. Honestly, I loved Excite Truck and if that was online, I'd be having a blast (still dying to try Excitebots). But this is still pretty good fun so far. I'm getting a bit discouraged cause people are so good and I trail at the back at times. I was actually in first for a few races but because of a simple mistake, I went to the back on the last lap but those things happen. But unlike in MKWii, it's more tense because there are no power-ups to help you. You gotta rely on pure skill and strategy. Feel free to ask more questions.
Man that sucks about the leaderboards. There's nothing to compare yourself to others at all? That's a minus for me. I'm not sure how this will affect my enjoyment of this fame in the longterm.
longtimegamer, sorry bout the confussion... nothing negative will have a nametag on it! although I wasn't on a bash session, I was just tossing one in for the possible "some" that might knock ol'school... LOL as regards the leaderboards, nice point... I think it might take a bit to find a solution... maybe everyone will honestly log there points on a worldwide leaderboard! HAHAHAHAHA YEAH RIGHT!
@Gamedad: Thanks for clearing that up. Had to be something other than someones name(unless there response got took down) I think the points just keep building, but what happens when you top out (in points)? Does it reset or stop. That's what I'd like to know.
