If you mean Dungeon Explorer that's already on VC, then no. This is a turn-based game in the tradition of Rogue. More modern examples you might be more familiar with are any of the Mystery Dungeon games, except obviously much simpler and harder since this is an old game.

Yes, I was referring to it's visual appearances. It's gameplay does seem more like that of Mystery Dungeon's. :3
Ah, yep. I like the look of this better, not that either is going to win a beauty contest. I've heard it's pretty bad, but I'll probably pick it up just to have an old fashioned dungeon crawler on Wii. Shiren and Chocobo are fun, but I prefer traditional roguelikes in concept.

Speaking of WiiWare, I wonder if we're ever getting those Pokemon Mystery Dungeons. I've heard the Pokemon ones are pathetically easy and not as fun, but I like Pokemon enough that I think I'd enjoy it enough to justify buying a WiiWare version.
We're less than a month away from the translation taking a year, assuming it's being translated. Have they ever even confirmed we're going to get it some day? I like the visual style in the Japanese screenshots. If playing as different Pokemon is half as fun as playing the different job classes in Chocobo's Dungeon, I'll be pleased.
I've heard no confirmation so far, but with the Pokèmon version of Mystery Dungeon, you can only play as one Pokèmon in each game. You control a party of up to 4 and can issue commands to each. Some jobs give you a "client" who counts towards the 4 Pokèmon in your party.
I have this on the Ultimate Genesis collection. It's pretty fun, but the game gets old quick. Especially when the awesome theme the first few levels have turns into something far less enjoyable.
The best strategy in the game: go up stairs and pause balls.
