Topic: Doki Doki Panic on VC?

I'm surprised that Japanese VC still didn't get this game yet. I know that it's a lot like SMB2 or SMUSA over there but it has some differences such as characters, the way to beat it (must beat with all 4 characters), boss appearances (mouser appears 3 times), and music (different potion room and invincibility theme). Since the Wonder Boy games get different version releases, this game should at least appear on Japanese VC. It will also be a good candidate for an import title since it needs no translation. The fact that it isn't out on VC cannot be due to the Famicom Disk emulation as SMB: Lost Levels has been released on the service. Anyone else thinks that this should be released on VC?

I'd buy it, but then, I'd also buy that All Night Nippon Super Mario Bros. if it were released too. ...I buy all Import releases.

I've read somewhere that says Doki-Doki Panic was made for a TV channel?! So I doubt Nintendo would try to get the license for it.

@SuperDude95: I'm pretty sure you're right, same goes for All Night Nippon SMB.

I wonder how they got the rights to release Takeshi No Chousenjou...

Doki Doki Panic was a joint effort with a Japanese TV company.
I don't think Nintendo will go through the trouble of re-licensing those rights for a game they already have a much better version of in the form of Super Mario Bros. 2 (USA).

Taito probably negotiated a deal with the copyright holder.
It's not impossible, but a publisher would only do that if they felt a re-release was worth the effort.
