Basically, The Grinder is L4D for the Wii and topdown for PC, Xbox and PS3 (hah, how does it feel to get a port now, PS360 users?!?)
But does anyone actually want to get it? Discuss. note: it's coming out halloween next year.
Looking forward to The Conduit 2 and CoD: Black Ops for DS For really cool avatars for a forum, go here! http://callofduty.wikia.com/wiki/Callsigns/Emblems
Both versions looked fun but I'd probably go for the FPS and I think I'd get it if it's good...(and if it actually comes out)

If it's good, and it wouldn't be better to just get LFD2 instead.

Nope, it's from one of the worst developers out there and I won't support them one iota.
I am the one you despise. I am he who says what you really deep down know but are affraid to admit. I am the Anti-Fanboy, the crusader of truth in a world built on your lies.
High Voltage Software can go die in a grease fire. Those guys made themselves sound like the Wii saviour for everything 'hardcore' and first person shooters. And wow were they convincing based on their interview with IGN based on The Conduit. But really, they don't have one ounce of creativity or imagination in them either. Expect nice effects and sparkly detailed graphics, with cut and paste generic gameplay and Nothing original ot anything to advance the genre.
This. HVS is no new Rare like some were saying, Retro Studios is.
I'm watching it with interest. I'm hoping it's decent because I'd love to see a nice co-op L4D kinda experience on the Wii. I'm also into Diablo-esque (Alien Syndrome?) top down games so even the 360 version appeals to me as well.
I'm crossing my fingers but I won't hold my breath.
I'm always down for a good horror game. Didn't play The Conduit, but the videos and screenshots for The Grinder look a bit generic. I'll check it out, but I don't have high hopes.

The top downer will be more like HVS' only good game - the likewise top-down Hunter: The Reckoning.
That's not really a Diablo or Alien Syndrome game - it's a reasonably unique experience that I haven't really seen since Hunter.
Yes, still keen on this (helped having an email from one of the HVS guys saying they liked some of my level/monster ideas) - obviously it's Wii or nothing for me.

Harsh. HVS didn't promote themselves that way, the fans/userbase did.
I liked the look of this originally, in FPS form. I don't know about the top-down perspective, but that shift to XBLA/PSN makes it look like HVS are in a bit of a hole monetarily.
