If Nintendo has any sense left, they'd release Decap-Attack for Halloween. I wouldn't get it, but its macabre theme would be perfect.

Decap Attack is alright. I'm personally hoping for Bloodlines, though.

A Castlevania Bloodlines and Splatterhouse 3 double release would be frickin' awesome, but I'm not going to get my hopes up.

Castlevania Bloodliness, Splatterhouse 3, and Decap Attack would all be good choices for Halloween this year.

Yeah Castlevania Bloodlines was a pretty decent Castlevania game for sure. There wasn't much third party titles I liked a lot on the Genesis outside of that, Contra, Turtles, and a few Capcom games, oh and Rampage. I think I'd put up for that as I have that PS3 Sonics Genesis collection thing and Decap Attack is in it. It's a weird game, pretty challenging too and not much structure to it so you got to think before you move.

CASTLEVANIA BLOODLINES ...or final fantasy mystic quest

Devil World looks like such an interesting Pac-Man clone, with religious elements (crosses).
Castlevania Bloodlines/A New Generation is a game that I've been wanting to play for years.

I was wondering when somebody would point that out.
It was a hack of a cutesy Japanese anime(?)-licensed game.

Actually, I'd like to see Haunting: Starring Polterguy. That game matches the halloween stuff perfectly, and it's awesome. It's made by EA, though, and I don't know if they support VC.

They'll release a sub-par puzzle game on WiiWare with a Halloween theme instead.

Sadly, this is most likely true

@Shadx - Haunting starring Polterguy. That was a good game on EA Replay (one of the few good games in the compilation). I once made it near the end of the game (at the final boss), but I lost my life.
@KingMike - iirc, Dazza's avatar is from the box art of that Japanese game. And, iirc, he doesn't want Decap Attack to hit the VC. I am interested in trying the Japanese original.
