I'm thinking about getting rid of my fat 'ol telly and replacing it with a monitor... A TV is not an option, as they are out of my price range and I'm not looking for something big. I've found a promising one, with the only problem being how to connect my Wii! My options of input to the monitor are HDMI, D-sub, DVI and (as if!) USB. I'm really lost and I'm looking for advice preferably based of real experience with these sort of things. Please help, I really want to get rid of this old TV!

There are monitors which have RCA sockets for composite and/or component input. You do have to do a bit of searching but they exist; I have one (admittedly an old and small monitor with a criminally low refresh rate, but still).
I'd suggest getting an SDTV for the Wii though. They're cheaper than HDTVs and you might be able to get a fairly sizeable one within your budget. Standard definition output to a high resolution LCD screen (as in computer monitors or HDTVs) can warp or blur the image terribly. SDTVs do a great job of inherently smoothing out low res images. They're really the ideal choice for standard-definition devices like the Wii.
If you are able to directly connect it to the monitor, are you able to easily switch between the computer and the Wii? Or are you using the monitor alone?...I dunno, I've never really done that, and my Wii is hooked up to my computer actually. xD Then again I may be looking into this, since a small window on my computer is ok, but...small. And putting it in full screen makes it blurry and stuff, lol.

Keep it PG-13-ish.
i have my wii on a small hd ready tv,and it looks awful!it even looked better on my 25 year old tv.Maybe it looks awful, because its a cheap brand. There is no black, its more light grey...nasty.cant wait for wii hd!
The plan is to buy a 24 inch monitor and use it for my Wii, as well as my laptop when I want to play media on a big screen... I'm thinking about the upscaler that NL got their hands on... It seems like it doesn't destroy the picture but rather improve it (which is pretty nice as it is it's primary function)! I think I just might buy it, or rather put it on my wishlist together with the monitor!
