Hi guys - my Classic Controller seems to have developed a fault where when I'm playing a VC game it randomly pauses and goes back to the 'reset / wii menu / configure wiimote screen'. Have there been any reports of this or is it nothing to do with the controller and maybe a VC or console problem. I've tested both SF2 turbo and Twinbee and the problem is happening on both games. Also tried switching the Wii off and on again. I though someone on here might have some advice before I call Nintendo
If anything, maybe there is something sticky in-between the Home button. It doesn't take much to press that button, so maybe something is holding it down.
Maybe he means when the games start? I've noted that nearly every VC game I play goes to the home menu after the game boots when I have the CC connected. I figured it's normal behaviour relating to it being detected...
I've never had, nor have I ever heard of any faults. But my control sticks did turn yellowish not long after I got the controller, and that was back when I hardly used it. They really should come up with a more resilient material for the control sticks.

yeah from memory it does this to me whenever I load a game that has the "save state" thing (just NES and MS games I think) after exiting via the Wii menu last time I played it. It does it regardless of what controller I am using from memory and I don't remember thinking it was a fault. It also doesn't do it with non-VC games, the shop channel or the Wii menu itself and I do remember it doing it with the Wii remote by itself so if it is a "fault" its not the classic controller.
Because I don't think of it as a problem I never paid much attention to it but so I might be wrong. Someone test it out
