I'm looking forward to this game. I think I will buy Gradius Rebirth, and I had already bought and played Contra Rebirth. Konami loves WiiWare!

I'm kind of betting this is what IGA has been working on. Everyone seems to assume that just because this is part of the Rebirth series that it's being developed by M2 (who did Gradius and Contra). The fact that shortly before the release of Mega Man 9, however, IGA stated he was very interested in doing a retro revival of his own on WiiWare and the time between then and now seems about right to develope such a game. Also Castlevania The Adventure is one of those titles that he purposly kept in the timeline, despite the games questionable quality, so he must've had something in mind for Christopher Belmonts adventures. This could be that something. I'm betting that if he is indeed heading the project, this will be a Castlevania more in the vein of Rondo of Blood, rather than the Metroid style fair he's been producing for the past decade. If that's true we are all in for an excellent WiiWare title.

I hope this is quite different compared to Gameboy's castlevania Adventure. Not because I thought it was bad ( I don't remember not liking it, but because I just got Castlevania Adventure at a yard sale (It might have been free but i think I might have bought something from them(Possibly because of that.
Anyways, Did they ever have the giant rolling eyeballs in any of the other games? I don't remember and not completely sure if I played the sequel to this.

We may finally learn more about this tomorrow.

Not if you're a fan of Rocket Knight -- not that I am; frankly I never heard of it until someone posted about it on Eurogamer months ago...

Rocket Knight games were cool...but yeah, anything Castlevania-news-related would've been much more pleasant. I guess I'm off to play through 68k Castlevania again in anticipation in the meantime...

Yeah, I was disappointed as well. I don't have a problem with the Rocket Knight series, but considering this new one looks sort of 'meh' so far is an additional downer.

Still waiting for more info. :/ I agree that a Halloween release makes sense.

I've been playing Castlevania games in anticipation as well. Recently played Order of Ecclesia again, and now I'm working on Harmony of Dissonance (for the first time) on the Double Pack cartridge.

Next to Spirit Tracks this is my most anticipated game. I just have to see some screen shots. I have been replaying Order of Ecclesia while I wait but it can't get here soon enough.

I think this will loosely based off the GB title. I hope they do away with rope climbing and add multi-directional whipping (ala Super Castlevania). I would imagine this will be around 5-6 levels like the other rebirth titles. Just can't wait to see it.

I just saw Nintendo week and got surprised that they will talk about the game next week...maybe that means that it will come next monday?

That would be awesome, and it would be just in time for Halloween. But I won't get my hopes up.
