I actually saw someone else point it out elsewhere, but it doesn't seem to be common knowledge.
Yeah, why did they leave it as hidden as it is? No mention of it in the game's manual or anything. I've seen a lot of people complain and even turn down this game due to the lack of a save option. :/
It makes sense because when I was playing hard mode I stopped on level 3 and message popped up asking to save. I was thinking why save if I have restart anyway. Of course I did not know about the level select. Good find

Interesting -- Brad are you playing Hard difficulty? Maybe the level restart is only available there (I still have yet to play the game again -- too busy playing Muramasa with Kisuke after playing Monohime's story).
I played through twice on Normal and once on Easy, and the code worked for both modes. I've yet to try Hard, but I think it's safe to assume it'll work for that as well.
