Brawl has alot more content, but It was WAY to easy to unlock all the characters in Brawl. For me, that was the best part in the other games. Melee seemed more rewarding. I'd probably still give the vote to Brawl, though.
Melee. Brawl has quite a few problems with it. 1. The physics are awful. You float through the air like a balloon, watching the occasional item fall down to the ground faster than you. Melee had it right by giving each character a different falling speed. If the giant gargantuan Bowser floats seemlessly to the ground at the same rate as Kirby, you know something is wrong. 2. Computer AI. The AI for the enemies has been dumbed down. Melee had it right by actually making Level 9 enemies difficult, level 5 enemies medium, and level 1 enemies easy. Not: level 9 enemies normal, level 5 enemies easy, level 1 enemies punching bags. 3. There is no real reward for unlocking things. In Melee you had to work to get all of your new unlockables, and finishing that 1000th match made unlocking Mr. Game & Watch all the sweeter. It was also the element of surprise that made earning the unlockables a much more satisfying experience, in my opinion. 4. Fun. My main problem with this game. It felt to me that they were trying to make the levels so diverse and detailed that even the biggest fanboy in the world would cry in joy. And while they were doing that they left out how much fun the gamers were having. Sure, it may be cool to see the inside of every room in Luigi's Mansion, but what's the point if the player isn't enjoying themselves?

The only thing I don't like about Brawl is the All-Star Mode. There's so many characters that it takes ages, and it's not random anymore since you fight opponents in chronological order (according to the date of their first game release). So it gets boring once you've cleared it with a few characters. At least the Final Smash trophies make it worth slogging through though, they're pretty epic.
Brawl. Everything in that game was either better or bigger. (Story mode, roster, solo mode, items, controls because there was so many options, graphics, music, etc.)
It's predecessor's don't even come close to it in any way that comes to mind. Melee was fun though don't get me wrong and so was the original but Brawl is way better.

Agreed. Playing the original on the VC feels so.... empty now
For you, the day LordJumpMad graced your threads, was the most important day of your life. But for me, it was Tuesday. [url=http://www.backloggery.com/jumpmad]Unive...
for me brawl rules over all 3 of em SSB was nice to fight in, SSBM became bigger, so more space to fight in (especially temple, which is my favorite all time) and if that wasnt enough, SSBB has alot of space, a great adventure mode for both single and multiplayer (except you gotta fight with the next chosen char with multiplayer) and then the best of all.... stage builder, to let you make your own arena's
too bad only that some people hack stages to make it even bigger(look on youtube), although i admit i'd like to have a bit more space in stage builder
Hey you compare a gamecube game with a wii game? Brawl is of course better, when we are talking about multiplayer, when we are talking about solo braw is a pice of sh...., hey, it is just horrible, and anyone who said: "no its better because there is multiplayer and 2 people can play in solo mode" then you are WRONG!!!! the 2nd control DON'T DO ANYTHING, you can just play yourselve with a friend, or let the control there and play with no-one and it is just the same, it looks like they do it bad for purpose, like in mario galaxy games, come on...
I have melee and not brawl, I like the multiplayer of brawl more than the one in melee, but the solo is just horrible, thats because I don't buy it. If I wanna play brawl with friends, I just tell them to bring it to my home and we do then a tournament (hey thats rare but im the only one of my friends who doesn't have brawl, and im the best, and I never play it!!! Wow I got a talent)
