Topic: Brawl help.

That's right, I'm asking for help on a very old-ish game, lol.
Anyways, anybody have some tips on capturing the bosses? I've got some of them such as Petey, Pokey, and Rayquaza...but that's about it...it seems like the stands NEVER drop at all and I'm sitting here trying to avoid every attack while the boss has almost no health left...then a bomb falls. T_T

Anyways yeah, dunno what else to do...those...trophy stands for the characters (the ones I play anyways) are practically FILLED with trophy stand stickers...so...yeah, lol.

Try playing on the Intense quality. That way, more Trophy Stands drop. When you see one, grab it, but don't toss it at the boss until it has reeeeeeeaaaaaaally low health. In the mean time, use special attacks to take the boss down. Remember, the Shield Buttons are your friends.

Crap...Intense? That's gonna be...well, intense! xD

That's how it goes. But don't worry. If you faced the bosses many times, their moves should be easy to predict and dodge.

I find Very Hard to be the easiest way to snag 'em. It's not quite as cruel as the everything-will-kill-you-quickly Intense mode, but trophy stands still drop quite regularly.

A side-note: When you're trying to get Meta Ridley's trophy (when you fight him on top of the Falcon Flyer), be VERY careful when you throw the stand. If he's in his 'idle' position off to the side of the flyer when it hits, the trophy will fall into the abyss unless you're VERY quick at grabbing it in mid-air. It's easier to throw it upwards when he flies overhead.

Yeah, already planned out Meta-Ridley, since I won't be able to do that fancy-jump-and-grab-it-in-midair-off-the-stage-thing. lol
I'll try the Very Hard mode then, thanks...didn't know difficulty affects that stuff. xD

Just remember that only the sticker with the greatest effect will work. If you have, say, Trophy Stand Drops +10 AND Trophy Stand Drops +6 on a character, only the +10 will take effect (they will not multiply together or anything). So try to find a high number effect for Trophy Stand Drops and leave room for other kinds of stickers to boost defense and whatnot.

By the way, I captured Meta Ridley right before he was going to smash the Falcon Flyer to the bottom of the screen (you know the move) and since he was directly above me, the trophy landed safely on the Flyer.

Their health doesn't need to be TOO low, just enough. I captured Taboo when he still had about a fourth of his health remaining. It's pretty generous about when you can turn them into trophies.

...Wait, what? The stickers don't add up together? Waaah! T_T

I want to know why dose everyone in Basic Brawl pick Temple Stage to just Jump up and Down for Two mins .

and it all the Time too, you never find a good match online....never.....

I thought people picked Temple so they could run out the clock and get a sudden death. Everytime I go to Temple now, it's just like "Ugh....not this again".

I just can't believe how many annoying people play online. There's campers, spamers, and unwanted online player-types everywhere. I was once in a Basic Brawl where everyone ganged up on ME, they didn't fight each other, only me. I played about 10 matches with them before I finally won (and guess where we fought EVERY time? Temple.) Why can't everyone just fight and not be idiots?

Good to know, am not the only person who wants a real match and not a pokeball fest match.

And the only reason they gang up on you is becuse, your the only person who wants to fight, and since they suck at that,
and can't win a match with out a item, all the weaklings join up to take you on,.....by spamming or killing themself, so you can't win........

Every time I find a match like this, I quit and hope, I don't get it again.....But since I run in to them all the time,
The Best way I found to make them fight you, is to get them mad and sidestep every move they come at you with, and just make them look like fools for trying to face to head to head.

....But I like Pokeball fests. XD

Another thing I hate is when people try to stay alive during sudden death. This happens most often on Temple (go figure, huh?) and it is really annoying and slows things down. Why just the other day I played a basic Brawl against a King Dedede and a Meta Knight on Temple. I was trying to fight the Dedede (who was spamming smash attacks) and the Meta Knight stood over on the other side of the stage and acted like an idiot (he did taunts and smash attacks over and over). When I got Dedede to a high damage percentage, he went and hid in the lower part of the stage so I couldn't KO him easily. There ended up being a sudden death, and I was over confident and got KO'd first (either that or it was the lag's fault). And guess what they did? The Meta Knight used his glide ability to keep sliding up and down the wall of the bottom portion of the stage (I'm not sure how) and the Dedede stood on the highest platform on the top right half of the stage and used inhale. So any of the bombs that dropped next to him, he immediatley ate. After a while, Meta Knight flew around the entire stage in a way that looked like he hacked Meta Knight's gliding so he could essentially glide very high and almost forever. All this went on for a few minutes, and as a result I couldn't save a replay (that's probably what they wanted) so I have no proof. Eventually, Dedede just jumped off and killed himself, and Meta Knight, the one who did absolutely NO fighting, won the match. They're both idiots.

Wow, this thread is turning into an online complaints topic. But, I need a place to list the extremely large amounts of dumb things that happen to me online.
