Topic: BIT.TRIP COMPLETE Challenges!

Let me just say, the 20 challenges added to each of the 6 BIT.TRIP games for this retail release are the most absolute brutal levels your mind can imagine. These challenges make the games themselves, even later levels in each game, seem like a game of Candyland by comparison. It's taken me 2 hours to beat 4 of the 20 challenge levels on RUNNER and it's getting more insane by the second. And you gotta perfect the level in order beat the challenge, which adds even more controller-tossing madness to the mix. Not many will be able to beat all of these challenges, many won't likely come even remotely close to it. LOL

Does it put The Lost Levels and Super Meat Boy to shame, or is it just as hard as them?

I'm back (for the moment)!

Corbs

Oh these are EASILY as hard as those two. I blew through Super Meat Boy fairly quickly, but these are gonna take some serious SERIOUS time. I cannot WAIT to see the reaction of the readers who purchase this game after they give some of these challenges a try. It's gonna be hilarious! LOL

Are they on SAGA too? Or am I gonna have to get both collections?

I'm pretty sure I think I'm funnier than I really am.

No, the challenges are only available on the COMPLETE Wii game.

Well, looks like it's both then.

Current BIT.TRIP COMPLETE challenges tally: 34,589 cuss words, 38 controller tosses, and 8 rage quits. I also said some rather ugly things about Alex Neuse's mother that I feel fairly badly about.

I'm looking forward to a PAL release date for this. I was a bit disappointed a few days ago when I realised only an NTSC date had been announced!

I used to have a blog link here. I'll put it back up when the blog has something to read.

Good, I have 4 Wiimotes I can break, only 1 3DS.

The Challenges are brand new levels? Or short altered segments of existing levels? I thought they were more like a set of in-game achievements (like Core Challenge: Beat this level without using your bomb). If this is actually new content, suddenly it doesn't seem like a huge waste of money even though I own them all already.

Come on, friends,

Ahhhh, yea, I don't know how I could not have this. Thanks, if I hadn't seen that video, I would have thought this the most pointless compilation possible for the rest of my days. This is exactly what I'd want.

Brand new levels in Runner and they are CRAZY insane! It's almost like getting a sequel to RUNNER within the game. I'm sure the other games feature the same new content as well, just haven't gotten to it yet.

I see somebody hasn't ever tried playing a game of Candyland with a loaded Deck.

This is a signature.

The Amazon pre order price is $39.99 I was kinda hoping for $29.99.

@Corbs Will you be able to play the pong BIT.TRIP games (BEAT and FLUX) with different control schemes? The only thing that put me off from buying those two on WiiWare was that I know they would have controls schemes that I would despise with all of my soul.

Thanks given to Xkhaoz for that one avatar.

Sorry for the revival, but I was playing Complete right now, more specifically, Runner, and I just managed to beat the 20 challenges in less than an hour. I'm not a skilled player, btw, having only achieved a perfect run in the first 2 or 3 levels of the first world. I really wonder if the challenges you played in the preview version were harder than the retail ones, as they weren't impossible at all.

I won't lie, some were rather hard, but in the whole it just felt like an easier mode of the game, easier in fact than some of the most brutal levels. Well, at least I still got the other 100 challenges to play, not to mention the whole 6 games...
