Topic: Bit Boy!! first impressions

Poor B-Plus. I hope their next game is better recieved. It's got to suck getting your games bashed no matter what you do.
Some of these people do have good points though. There are some complaints from differentnwhich seem to keep coming up in this game. Hopefully B-plus will read these and keep them in mind for future reference.

@Corbie - Did you notice that in Publisher and Developer they put unknown?

I think it's cool that a dev mentioned one of our forum members in their game credits whether people like the game or intend to buy it or not.

Let's focus on the game and knock off the personal attacks. I'm happy to start editing posts and censoring people if that's what it takes, but I hope we're all better than that...

Ah, it's Chris doing the ONM review too. He's usually spot on for me. Will avoid this.

Good old Wiiloveit, that's 7.6/10 on a conventional scoring scale. I think we all saw this coming, each to their own!

I just don't see how those dead-ends you have to travel down wouldn't bother him more than they did. It's so annoying being forced to use up all the special attacks through no real fault of your own.

He did acknowledge an awful lot of flaws; I guess they just weren't as important to him as they were to others.

I'm still curious about Bit Boy, but if I buy it in spite of all the bad press and then hate it, Bplus is going to get quite an earful...

I Liked the concept of the different retro graphics but i seen videos on the game and to be honest....it was alittle too old and out of date y'know..
It would get boring..

Dammit! It looks looks like I'm gonna have to wait ANOTHER week for Cave Story! Not only is this retro-turd coming out tomorrow, but so is Monkey Island, so there won't be much room for another game!

I didn't realize it was the same day as Monkey Island. Man, Bit Boy is going to have a tough launch going up against such a big name. I wonder if it'll even chart.

I may still give it a shot. I'll decide before long. Looking at the vids on youtube, it doesn't LOOK so bad. (Compared to, say, Niki, which looks like something they'd force you to play in Hell.)

What he said. Plus, it is the ugliest game on the service, and I'm not talking about the 8-bit phase but the 128-bit one, and only one person seems to have enjoyed it so far that I've noticed.

And most of all, I just can't imagine anyone who thought Niki Rock N Ball was good enough to publish knows how to make good games. I was on the fence before, simply for the neat concept, but I have definitely fall off now.

Were you the one who said specifically that Niki Rock N Ball was the worst game you've ever played? I know someone said that, but I can't remember who.

If it WAS you, do you stand by those words? I'm almost tempted to get that one as well, just for the sheer awfulness.
