I agree on the VC comments though - the truth is, there is a massive amount of gaming goodness on the VC - its pretty hard for WiiWare to compete with it.
Because I picked up my Wii early (i.e. launch day), I had a solid 12 months of buying nothing other than VC titles. So by the time WiiWare came out, I already had all the VC I wanted (with a few exceptions) - and started picking up WiiWare instead.
Its sort of unfortunate... but I would say that the entire service is going to end up as 500pt titles. Our next game is almost certainly going to launch at 500pts.
I'd love a Flowerworks demo to be available (at least there is a PC one!) - but this is currently Nintendo's call - not ours. I actually think the current demo situation is hurting our sales - badly!
I definitely think 1000 is fine for this as opposed to say Eco Shooter or Pallurikio.
1000 is the ceiling for my comfort level. Anything higher than that and I take a hard look (given how ugly I think N64 games are that means N64 on Japanese Wii is unlikely since they're 1200 points!) at what's on offer. Hence not being willing to take a chance on Plattchen (seriously, 1500 for a puzzle game).
1,000 points is a good deal for a quality game. Tried the pc demo and thought it was great and original. Will definitely get the wiiware version sometime.
