I might get the PS3 version, loved the original Rayman and my PS3 needs more charming platformers. But if the handheld versions somehow manage to be at least comparable, then I'll wait. I'll get it one way or another.

you owe it yourself to play the game in HD.

I guess I'll try out the demo then, How stunning is it in High Def? Thinking about it now, I do think that this game will be better experienced Co-Op so I'll just get both the PS3 and (Vita/3DS) version since I prefer playing on the go. Either way, I know I'm in for a great time

Amazing. The nature of the game it will still look good but the HD sprites are something to behold.

I think in the US, Amazon.com is also offering something similar to the Collector's Edition, although that may have been pre-order only.
Either way, can't wait until next Friday for this! As of late, my gaming style seems to be to pick up games that I've not been following until the last minute.
Played the PSN demo.I must say i kinda hate the art style but the gameplay is really nice. my only complaint is that use your helicopter hair you need to hold down the button, not just tap it. I might pick it up for the sake of nostalgia.
As far as I'm concerned, the DSiWare game is a perfect port of the original Rayman 1 game. Yes, the screen is slightly smaller, but it's not a big deal. As a matter of fact, I'm playing the game right now and so far I haven't had any problems with it. Oh, and it's also a pretty fun game with a decent challenge! I'm having a lot of fun with it.
Picked up this game today. Gotta say, I'm very impressed with the art style. It's like the developers tried to be as weird as possible, then raised the bar just a bit higher. Even with all of the oddities, the game still looks gorgeous.
I'm very fond of how the game plays as well. I'll have to get used to the physics (like with any platformer), but this game is reminding me of Donkey Kong Country Returns a lot. Seeing as how that was my favorite Wii game, I'm fairly excited to see how the rest of the game turns out!
EDIT: ...By the looks of this thread, am I the only one who bought this already? >.o
Would be pretty flippin fantastic to play this in HD, i mean could get the PS3 version....But I won't because the Dual Shock controller just feels too modern for such a game like this. The Classic controller or Wii remote Sideways(if that's even compatible) would totaly be more idealy' for me.
So that being, said I'm going for the Wii version all the way. Besides, i want to keep adding more Wii games to my collection, my PS3 days are deader than a Ice Climbers Career.
Dude play it in HD. It may not seem like it but the animation and detail were made with a certain resolution in mind.

I'm going to borrow it from the library, and we'll see where it goes from there. I wasn't really interested, but i've seen a lot of "surprisingly good" quotes from reviews...
The Demo is amazing. I can just sit there and listen to the music and slowly go through the level. I like the fact that you can take your time to slowly grab everything or just run through the Level as fast as you can. Only complaint is the water level is alittle werid. The Falling debris gets in your way alot of the time and causes death.

After reading a couple of reviews this sounds great, but can anyone please point me to some Wii-specific reviews? It sounds like a lot of the ones I've read are for the HD consoles, and I'd like to know how well the visuals translate to the Wii (as they sound like a major drawcard for the game).
I used to have a blog link here. I'll put it back up when the blog has something to read.
Rayman 2 is one of my my favorite games of all time, and probably tied with Super Mario 64 as my fave N64 game. Rayman 3 was a bit "meh" for gamecube, but enjoyable nonetheless. Rayman Origins looks really cool...I'll def be picking this up. I'm still not sure whether to get it for Wii or PS3. Any really big differences between the two?
