Topic: Any FPS Players Here Remember The Conduit ?

All this talk about splatoon , but before splatoon there was a legendary nintendo exclusive FPS that deserves a port or remaster

I'm surprised no one responded to this one. I've played The Conduit a long time ago. Loved its online play and the campaign. Shooting felt great, puzzles worked, and the alien conspiracy story kept me wanting to know more. Loved how it really pushed the Wii's graphics.

If it got a port or remaster, I'd be down. Really liked this one.

@Sunsy probably because it was underrated, and the nintendo userbase doesn't like shooters(unless its made by nintendo i guess).

i agree the campaign was great, i think it even had a little bit of horror to it too? it was a really unique game that had alien and human enemies too. still have it on my wii, i outta replay it one of these days, itll be basically a new experience for me all over again.

I too enjoyed The Conduit, though I never played the online mode. I think what I liked about it particularly was that it wasn't overly difficult at any point, so it felt enjoyable to play and make continuous progress.

Yes I remember it. It was not great. Only thing it had going for it was good pointer controls and some visual details which were not common for Wii. If it was on any other platform, almost nobody would know it exists. Not that it was awful or anything, just very unremarkable and got extra points for being a semi decent FPS on the Wii. Hence why I would argue it's overrated.

@Switch_Pro Who's overrating it? I don't see any body GOATing it. It was just a good solid game. I don't remember having any grumbles about it.

I played it when it first launched. It was pretty good, the sequel though? Horrible, felt like a poor man's halo. Add in the fact that the tone and art direction from the first one was entirely scrapped for goofy garbage.

@gcunit i kinda overrated it with this post . MAYBE it wasn’t as good as i thought it was , but like i said , i still have the game , should refresh my memory

@MsJubilee yeah i heard about the sequel way after it came out and heard only bad things about it . that sucks .

@gcunit It doesn't have to win GOTY to be overrated. It's a 6/10 game and its current user score on Metacritic is 8.1. Thus overrated. As I mentioned, technically very solid game, but gameplay wise it's banal and offers nothing new to the FPS genre.

I remember it had an Android HD remaster all the way back in 2013, which basically showed how underpowered the Wii was when a 2013 phone can do better graphics.
Also, I remember how this game spawned the whole "Has anyone really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like" meme in 4chan. An elegant meme from a more civilised age.

I remember that game though I can't remember if I actually played it. I feel like I rented it one time but never completed it. My memory is pretty fuzzy on that period of my life. I do remember thinking the game looked pretty impressive though!

so is the game good or not ? technically it’s VERY solid but it’s not? it’s a wii game , any game that wasn’t made by nintendo on the wii was always mid in comparison to other platforms

@nomither6 Yes of course! Some people made a pretty big deal about it back in the day. It was a pretty decent showpiece of what the Nintendo Wii was capable of.

@nomither6 Technically solid means that it looks decent for a Wii game, runs well, doesn't crash, etc. Does this mean it's a well designed game? No, it's just too basic, unless it's baby's first FPS.
