I was browsing Steam and stumbled across this....
Yes, I know, I know. It's a Microsoft published game it'll never come to Wii U but hear me out. What I want to see is Nintendo come out with one or two small titles along those lines. They got Never Alone and that's nice, we got Child of Light and Trine earlier on. Even back on the Wii when we got Lost Winds that was fantastic and ended up being one of my favourite games on the system. But what I'd like to see is Nintendo to create something like that specifically for the Wii U but with their own style of polish.
Oh, would it be possible that Project Ukulele could be announced for Wii U at E3? How long would it take for Playtonic to make a deal with Nintendo?
In theory they could make a deal tomorrow. Not sure if that will happen but there's literally NO way it's not coming to Wii U.
The when is more important than the if here, what are the odds that 3 months from now we could see an announcement for a Wii U version of this game?
I think it depends on the Kickstarter, weren't they talking about the Wii U as one of their strech goals?
Someone on Playtonic Forums maybe, but Playtonic themselves hasn't said anything about their Kickstarter goals. In fact, they've been saying that most of their fans are asking for a Wii U version, so a Wii U version of the game is pretty much a sure thing.
"Hey you know this game we're working on where the main appeal is nostalgia for that N64 exclusive title? Lets not release it on the one platform which is all about milking nostalgia for 90s Nintendo titles! Lets instead just release it on these other platforms where that doesn't exist and this genre of games traditionally don't do as well"
......... If it's not headed to Wii U they're idiots. It's headed to Wii U.
Revised list:
1. Mario Kart 8 DLC
2. Mario Kart 8 DLC
3. Mario Kart 8 DLC
4. Hyrule Warriors DLC
5. Hyrule Warriors DLC
Really the thing I want most is for Nintendo to keep expanding their games via DLC at a great price. Remember how great it was finding out that 2 DLC packs were available to preorder after getting the free Mercedes DLC or how Hyrule Warriors became neverending because of the Twilight and Termina Maps.
Why no Smash DLC you ask? Simple, Sakurai's view of DLC and more importantly that I actually want to beat All-Star on Hard mode with bad characters such as Rosalina.
Well not having Zelda at E3 or at all in 2015 is a huge blow, it's a big game that a lot of people are excited for, so it really kills the hype to not see it for another year. The presentation needs new games to keep up the hype, and with Zelda gone they're going to need something major to hold people's attention (and with most of the major IPs already exhausted, it's unlikely that they would find it). In terms of their holiday lineup, Zelda was their only A list game, so unless they have some kind of stealth release planned for 2015, they're probably not going to keep up momentum.
Basically, if they don't have anything good waiting to be shown off, they're not going to hold people's attention. The current holiday lineup isn't very enticing.
I dare you to watch the 2008 conference and THEN convince me that this one will be as bad.
Announcing anything worth while (even a small eShop game) will make this year automatically better
Close enough. Showing off the same games you showed off before doesn't exactly make for an exciting presentation, unless you barely showed it off to begin with.
