Topic: Would you buy a Metroid Anniversary Collection?

Metroid deserves nothing less than an anniversary collection of the 2D games, along with bonus goodies like a soundtrack and art booklet. Throw in a statue as well, like with Wind Waker HD and Majora's Mask 3D, and it would definitely be more than worth it!

I'm personally a sucker for game collections; I just love having multiple entries of a series I enjoy packed into one disc (or cartridge). Its one of the reasons why I traded in my GC copies of Primes 1 and 2 towards Prime Trilogy (the addition of Wii controls to 1 and 2 was definitely the dealbraker though.)

Even if a new game was announced in addition to an anniversary collection, I would still be tempted to buy it. I'm just that big of a fan I guess.

See, this is what I mean. Even though the games are available on VC, an anniversary disc like this would be a dream come true for many fans who like physical media.

Check out my YouTube channel if you love gaming, and Nintendo (especially Metroid) I think you'll enjoy my videos. :)

Since Metroid, Super Metroid and Metroid Fusion have all come to the Wii U's VC, would love to include Metroid Zero Mission NOA, I would much rather have a 2D Metroid collection on the go. I would buy it just for Super Metroid, since I've been wanting to play that game anywhere for years now. 3D effects would also be added. A Wii U collection just doesn't have benefits in my opinion. I don't think they should be wasting their time making a collection release though when the series hasn't had a new game in over 4 years.

I wonder if it would be worth it for Nintendo to re-hire Team Ninja in a support role to "Remake" Other M. I haven't played Other M so I only know what the internet has told me, but I wonder if it would be worth it for Nintendo.

People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

In a heartbeat.

Throw in a nice Artbook and Best Of soundtrack CD to make a sweet collectors edition.

No chance I would. I have the NTSC Kirby one and it is a waste of time. The emulation seems worse than regular Wii VC and it doesn't fit the screen as well.
