Mario, Kirby, and Zelda have all gotten special anniversary collections. So why not metroid? I'm not saying they have to remake the games, although that would be awesome of course, But if they ported all of the 2d adventures to Wii u, that would be amazing! Think about it.
Metroid
Metroid II
Super Metroid
Metroid Fusion
Metroid Zero Mission
All on one disc. That would be cool if they included the prime games, but I doubt they would do that. Maybe throw in a code to download prime trilogy on the eshop. They could also throw in a demo for an upcoming metroid game, if that just so happens to be in production. Like the Zelda collection for GameCube did for wind waker. They could also throw in a timeline, an art book, and a soundtrack containing music from all the games, like the Kirby collection.

Kirby's Dream Collection was never released in Europe, I would've loved to get that one. I'd take a Metroid anniversary collection as well.
Well that sucks. It was a great collection. Much better than Nintendo's crappy repackaging of mario all stars in the mario 25th anniversary disc.
Kirby's Dream Collection was barely more than a repackaging itself.
But Kirby dream collection also offered a challenge mode, and a timeline. Also, those Kirby games had never been collected all in one place before. The mario collection didn't even have mario world. They should have brought in the classic nes games, plus mario world, plus mario 64 in my opinion. Although I do agree with you about Kirby collection being underwhelming. They should have included the SNES spinoffs and possibly the gba games.

No Metroid Zero Mission? You got to have that in there, but I would buy it anyway. Even though I love Metroid, I never really played the older games.
Oh don't worry, I did! Zero mission is my 2nd favorite metroid game, so I had to. I'm also not a fan of the really old games. I like everything from super metroid and onward.

I don't think that Kirby game had many Scalpers, obviously this game would be more popular but I still don't think it would be a big deal, plus almost all the games are available on Virtual Console, Nintendo just needs to release Zero Mission
Anyways, I wonder if this sort of thing will happen less and less as the library's all start going digital. One day, your console will just run them off the cloud regardless if it can emulate or not, heck, one day, your console will just be an internet box. But I am getting away from myself, at that point I figure, they might package them together as a deal but they were all already there in the first place.
I'm sure everyone would. But as a fan, I'd totally want something like this.

I have all of the originals, but I would buy a remake collection. Just Metroid II and Super Metroid redone in the engine/style of Fusion and Zero Mission, and the four of them bundled together, either as a Wii U or 3DS download for $20 or whatever. Wouldn't need anything else.
So Anakin kneels before Monster Mash and pledges his loyalty to the graveyard smash.
There's no point. All of the Metroid games are readily available across multiple formats, except for Zero Mission (which has not been issued a VC release outside of Japan) and Metroid Prime Hunters (which is discontinued).
I suspect that Kirby Dream Collection was not released in Australia and Europe due to the fact that all of the games were available available via the Wii Shop/eShop, further limiting its appeal to only the most diehard of Kirby fans (and there aren't as many of them in Australia and Europe, as evidenced by less than stellar sales of Kirby's Epic Yarn and Kirby's Adventure Wii).
"Gee, that's really persuasive. Do you have any actual points to make other than to essentially say 'me Tarzan, physical bad, digital good'?"
