TBH, Activision needs to give the DLC a bit of a rest. It's a given that Wii U is lacking the DLC, but the amount of DLC they release, is ridiculous, anyway.

Just once, I wish that Activision would release an entire game for $60. Dead Rising 3 did the same thing, It's $90 for the "Ultimate Edition". Make one freaking version, and make it complete. This DLC s*** is getting out of hand. Even Konami is charging $30 for a demo...

I don't get how the hell people can support this s***.

Umm...all this DLC stuff is being made AFTER the game is released, sometimes almost a year later. How can it be included when it hasn't even been created at the time the game launched?

And haven't we seen you on here many times before complaining about how the Wii-U DOESN'T get COD DLC? So why are you now acting like you hate it?

I was mainly complaining about the FREE DLC. 1 or 2 things of DLC is fine, but there's a whole damn season available to buy, when the game launches. A better way to do business, is to release a new CoD every 2 years, and include the DLC as part of the $60 purchase. The game would have one more year of sales, before becoming succeeded, and the perceived value would be much higher.

Also, games like Titan Fall and Destiny will probably become more common. If CoD doesn't adapt, DLC is the least of its worries.
This is mainly my opinion, but there's no denying that they rely on DLC and annual releases, a bit too much.

If you consider that the value would be higher, through those 2 years, it's a pretty good trade off. They would make less money, but the money would be more valuable. There are variances. It's not like a decision like this would "kill" Activision. Also, along side selling that same CoD for a longer period of time, they can create a new IP and/or make new games for IPs, that they don't "milk" as much.

Would you rather have a new CoD, with possible DLC, and have support for that title over a longer period of time, then have access to another game, besides CoD, or continue this trend of releasing the same game IP, again, then again?

I would choose the more variety and longer support option, TBH.

I feel like this is what they are doing. They are adding another developer to the CoD cycle giving developers more time to refine their experiences. The we already see the current two developers each have their own series within the CoD series. Rather than tryong to support two different series with different play styles (example: Battlefield and Medal of Honor) They have many different series based inside of 1 series, Call of Duty, which allows them to keep the name popular, allow for more unique experiences, and more DLC supporting the different CoD series longer

People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

I just don't understand why people would buy mostly an online game, to not play online.

depends, if the person has a many gamer friends that live nearby it makes sense(ok this sounds far fetched but it's not impossible)
also Co-op games like MH3U can be played entirely alone in every mode available(it's not as much fun but it's still good)
