I hope this game sells well, and i really hope not to hear wiiu owners saying they don't have games to play to keep them busy until smash bros comes out.Which they have a game to play, well not one though but two in one package.
Bayonetta may not be for everyone, but if anyone has played and liked God of War, Devil May Cry, Ninja Gaiden, or the any of the other 3D beat-em ups, they owe it to themselves to play the best of the genre IMO. Especially considering the amazing 2-in-1 package deal: it's the God of War trilogy, except it's not a ripoff because you actually get a new game out of the deal...lol
As i've said in the past, Bayonetta 2 is what will make me finally buy a WiiU.
And since i actually count as 420,042 people, my purchase alone will be a good start to boost its sales numbers.
So, tell me where you're hiding the $151,215,120.

Final Fantasy XIV (PC) | The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening (Switch) | Celeste (Switch)
Just FYI According to vgchartz Bayonetta 2 has over 38 k pre-orders( USA only). Not too shabby for not having an exact release date. Its number 31 on the pre-order list
You know what if the game want's to be successful, then should change the name right now to Marionetta,so nintendo fans can notice it.

1. You are interested in Bayonetta 2 now, but wasn't interested in Wonderful 101 up to and including launch.

#1 for me.
4. I wasn't, and am not interested in either game... I got a free copy of W101 with my Mario Kart 8. I still haven't played it, I hope to find some time soon to try it out, if I like it, I'll buy the retail version. As for Bayonetta, I'll have to see more of that game...

I will buy Bayonetta 2 in a bargain bin a few years down the line. Maybe.

It's all very well to say "ADVERTISE! ADVERTISE! ADVERTISE!!!", but for every dollar you pay for advertising comes out of the profit, and you have to guarantee it will make more money than you spend. This is a big failure in the triple A business model.
More hopeful, I would say that Nintendo's biggest plus at the moment is both the PS4 and XB1 have stuttered with delays and underwhelming games. Bayonetta 2 is seemingly on time and looking good, maybe to tempt fans who own other consoles.
Isn't it obvious that Falco Lombardi is actually a parrot?

That's the thing, though. Xbox and PS fans that only own Xbox One or PS4 would rather continue to to put faith and invest in those consoles, rather than caring about what another console has to offer. You're far more likely to see these people buy 5 full priced Xbox One or PS4 games, rather than buying a second console and buying games for both platforms.
Even Wii U owners would rather just buy games for a console they already have, and it's the same situation with people that don't see a need to upgrade to 8th gen or can't really afford it, but it isn't even making that much of a difference, yet.
I really hope the game will reach 1mil copies sold, but it depends on a lot of factors.
First, I wouldn't offer a demo like they did for W101 - demos are good if the games have mechanics that are instantly familiar (like a platformer, a FPS etc), but when it comes to a game like this it's probably going to put a lot of people off. Remember W101? A guy was so pissed at people's attitude towars the demo that he made a youtube video that EXPLAINED the demo.
Second, I hope the press does a good job at covering this game. And I'm not talking about just the review (which is the tip of the iceberg), but loads of previews and videos that make the game attractive and, potentially, convince some people who haven't upgraded yet to go with WiiU rather than PS4/XB1, or to go with WiiU because their favourite PS4/XB1 franchises will take a while to come out. A lot of people got mad when Bayo2 was announced as WiiU exclusive, so let's hope the press can turn that disappointment into advertising.
A Nintendo direct is a good idea (it always is), but if it stays within the circle of WiiU owners or websites dedicated to Nintendo, it's little to no use. It has to make the front page of the major videogame websites.
Top-10 games I played in 2017: The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild (WiiU) - Rogue Legacy (PS3) - Fallout 3 (PS3) - Red Dead Redemption (PS3) - Guns of Boom (MP) - Sky Force Reloaded (MP) - ...
I think Bayonetta 2 coming shortly after Hyrule Warriors will help it too, I've seen a few people say they would love to get those 2 games despite not having a Wii U and if Ninty put out Xenoblade Chronicles X & Devils Third are coming too it may convert to a few more sales.
Media coverage is much better and higher than with W101 but I fear that the fact that we've been waiting two years for this game put off potential buyers. I still think this games will sell, it has been talk of the town. PS and Xbox owners ranting about it in a way is also publicity, having the first game bundeld with it, loads of previews and new info keeps popping up. It has all the merits to achieve great sales, if Nintendo did the commercials for this the right way otherwise it will remain a cult classic.
Everything can change, but I'm never changing who I am

Ahahha agree with you...
I really hope it will be succesful, and, having loved w101, i already preorder it.... But not having as main character mario or link, i doubt it will sell more than 500k...

#3 for me. Actually Bayonetta 2 is the reason for me wanting a Wii U. Out of all the games they showed at launch it was the only one that made me freak.
I really do want it to do great, but if history is anything to go by I feel like it won't do great. At best this game may break even.
