@TheLastLugia: You mean beyond the first three sets? It unlocked more for me after I finished the Green League. More than I expected actually
@Undead_terror: possibly, I've only given it 6 hours but using Chandelure exclusively, I feel like I've been way stronger than everyone except those who use Blaziken or Gengar where I'm usually a mess against. Especially Blaziken, if you get trapped in it's combo, it's the worst to get away from.
I've been wrecking most people online with Weavile. Some of them with far more experience than me. I met a couple fighters online with over 100 battles unfer their belt and I still beat them without much trouble and I'm like, "how did they get this far?"
Is this literally Tekken with Pokemon as the playable characters?
Depends on how you compare them. Both are fighting games, so that makes them similar.
But I don't think Tekken has anything like phase (or 2D/3D) shifts, so that makes them different.
Jeez, it hasn't even been a week, and someone decided to make a tier list. There is something wrong I see though, why the hell is Gardevoir above Machamp and Garchomp? That's the worst thing I see about this tier list. Like did they even try?
That chart makes sense, it's looking pretty accurate in comparison to how I've played, although regular Pikachu seems weaker than tier A, maybe more like D every time I've battled it. I had no idea I was going to main as an S rank. Cool, it's my favorite one in there too. Poor Braixen is an F?!?! I don't think I've even battled that yet at all haha
@whodatninja: LOL! I'm not on the SFV hate train (Bought the CE knowing full well what I was getting because I read up on it at Capcom unity and SRK before launch) as I get why capcom did what they did. I'm not excusing the launch because the servers were a mess at first, but since that happens to many online heavy games and I spend at least a month in the tutorial working out frame data/combos before I go online anyway I don't really care. Capcom is very aware of the rage quit issue and on capcom unity they are asking for people to document rage quits so they can hammer out a good system for it. After the sever mess (PC gamers were reporting getting booted quite a bit) I can see why they didn't have a system out the gate. SFIV had issues with them tweaking the RQ system as well. Besides I just got to SRK when I want to know who not to play. They shame a RQ hard over there.
I will say that Pokken is the most FUN I've had with a fighting game in a while. I tend to have a grin on my face the whole time I play a match...even when losing. I do hope that Bamco gets a good return on investment so they can make a series out of this. Or even branch out again. FE would make a great Soul Calibur expy. I pretty much buy any fighting game I can get my hands on but I tend to main VF and anything Capcom, but I have been hooked to this one. I may forgive the lack of SC (maybe) since this game is so fun.

Awww I like Braixen... Though I don't really care too much about the super competitive nature of this game, I'm loving it despite not being very good at it.
@Sticker: Not really. It doesn't have a similar button setup (system is closer to VS Capcom games honestly than tekken), it isn't really juggle heavy like tekken (it has juggles mind you) the speed feels somewhere between SC and Tekken to me (granted I am NOT a huge Tekken fan and don't play them regularly but I have played all of them) and it has a mix of 2d and free run 3d fighting (which I absolutely ADORE ). It is also more well suited to a dpad. I normally play exclusively with fightsticks but I personally found better control with dpad (which is something I haven't said since I was 10). I almost feel like there was an argument when coming up with the name and they settled on something that would invoke Tekken to get people to play it and not think it was a stadium/BC game. The tutorial is middling level though. No frame rate or input data and no hit boxes but it is serviceable.

My first impressions is that this is a really fun and solid game! Sure, there are some issues (like the VA, limited number of fighters, the blurry backgrounds) but none of these issues affects the core game.
I really hate in this game how when you're in Field mode and you get hit and fall down and the CPU just starts running in circles around you making the camera spin and spin until you FINALLY 200 years later regain control. Good lord fix that trash
So does Sceptile just suck, or is that just me? I've only won a single game online out of the 12 I've played. Also I've never seen anyone else maining sceptile. He's my favorite pokemon though, so I'm still gonna main him because I have to represent! I was just wondering.
Check out my YouTube channel if you love gaming, and Nintendo (especially Metroid) I think you'll enjoy my videos. :)

@Ryu_Niiyama: I don't begrudge anyone from getting Street Fighter V early. If you're big fan of the franchise, then of course! But for me, a casual fan, it's gonna be quite a while before I get into SFV. Not until after they've ironed out the kinks, and added more content. Maybe with the upcoming (totally not made up) Super Turbo HD Hyper Remix Championship edition!
Dang, the way you gush about Pokken, it really makes me wanna get it! I wasn't hugely excited when it was first announced, but it's growing on me
