Oh.. He has a broken leg yet attacks with it lol

People really wanted Flint in Brawl.

Maybe he has a chance this time if requested enough.

That's still nothing like Flash. It would do random effects if it were Flash, more like G&W's hammer. I mentioned Kumatora because someone suggested giving Ness/Lucas their own movesets, in which case Lucas's specials could just as well transfer to Kumatora. If I had to pick a new Mother character, it'd be Flint or Jeff. The psychics are represented well enough as it is. I'd rather see variety. Duster is another good suggestion. It'd be interesting to see a handicapped character. But Jeff is more iconic and has pull with the West, and Flint is more awesome.

I really liked the adventure mode in Melee, personally. Something more like that would be nice.

New stages and a couple new characters and not dissappointing online and longer subspace mode.

The number 1 thing Nintendo and HAL need to do with Smash U is balance/improve what they already have.

Remove random tripping, get rid of clones (as much as possible) and fix the online.

After that, sure, I'd like more content. Preferably via DLC. More stages, more music, and of course more characters. I think they should keep everyone from Brawl and add, from Nintendo: Ridley, Krystal, Little Mac, Isaac, Dixie Kong and King K. Rool.

From 3rd parties, limit it to two. Sega: Sonic, Knuckles. Konami: Snake, Simon Belmont. Capcom: Mega Man, Arthur. Ubisoft: Rayman, Prince of Persia. I'm not sure who from Square-Enix (other than Geno, if he falls into their territory; still not sure about how all that goes) or Namco. Any ideas?

Ugh, forgot to mention Samurai Goroh. I'd definitely include him too.

Things what I want and what I think will be included in new SSB:
1. More characters (even if some of people don't like this idea, for them I have to say: "There's no need to use everyone"), I'd like to see Megaman, 5th gen Pokémon (pretty sure it will be Zoroark), Mewtwo back as I don't have Melee, etc.
2. More stages. They really make the fighting even better as they almost always have something special that no other stages have. I love all the stages in SSB series and can't wait to see more.
3. Longer Subspace Emissary kinda thing.
4. Both trophies and stickers should stay.
5. Massive amount of Event Matches, I like 'em.
6. Hard to get unlockable characters and stages (and I think that they could make something that can only be unlocked through another version, SSB3D <transfer> SSBU)
7. Lots of new characters that can appear from Assist Trophy and Pokéballs, I'm pretty big fan of Pokémon and I always run to get a Pokéball when I see one.
8. Better online mode.
9. Balanced characters and not too many clones.
10. Something mind-blowing!

EDIT: I knew I forgot to mention some characters that I should've mentioned in 1st section. Bomberman would be an awesome character for SSB and I'd be extremely happy if they could add Sora from Kingdom Hearts but that's a dream that will never come true.

More Nintendo characters: Bring back the ones from Melee.

Good additions would be Samurai Goroh, Flint, Duster, Kumatora, Toad, Dixie Kong, and Little Mac indeed. Thanks for the suggestions.

I'd also like to see more Metroid characters being added, but not Ridley (he's too big) - maybe Adam Malkovich or Anthony Higgs.
New IPs: Kyle Hyde from Hotel Dusk, the Miis, characters from Animal Crossing, Aya and Kachi from Sin & Punishment, etc.
Safe bet, new Pokémon from the Black & White editions will be playable.

SEGA: Sonic & Shadow or Knuckles or Tails or Dr. Eggman
KONAMI: Solid Snake (Metal Gear) & Richter Belmont (Castlevania) or Goemon
HUDSON: Bomberman & Master Higgins (Adventure Island) or Bonk
CAPCOM: Mega Man & Ryu (Street Fighter) or Jill Valentine (Resident Evil)
NAMCO: Mitsurugi (Soul Calibur) & Lloyd (Tales)
SQUARE ENIX: Crono & Ayla & Lucca & Marle (Chrono Trigger)

On the subject of Metroid characters, yes, Ridley is too big. Imagine four people playing as Ridley on Battlefield. That said, the only other character that deserves to be added is Dark Samus. Other hunters are pretty insignificant, and they're all dead by the end of the game.

Here's what I think they should do. Keep Ridley as a boss, and add a game mode where one person plays as a boss.

@SKTTR

Thank you! I can't believe I forgot Bomberman too, yikes. Also, I used to think the same thing about Ridley, but I changed my mind. There's no one else from Metroid that fits better. Plus, Bowser looks way too big in some of his appearances, yet they made him work. Why not make the fans happy and include Ridley? At least it'll shut them up.

I remember an interview not long ago where Sakurai said if he ever did another Smash, it'd be more like Brawl and less like Melee. Melee was an intense development for him that he did not enjoy, and he would rather make a game more casual like Brawl. I take "casual" to mean less focus on balancing and more focus on "Wow, new stuff!"

I'll be happy with just about anything Smash. A balanced game would be great, but now that I've thought about it more, it's not like I play in tournaments or anything. I don't play with anyone who is amazing with Metaknight. The balancing problems are more theoretical in my experience with the game, with the only actual impact being that I don't have as much variety in tournament videos to watch. I can live with that.

If anyone knows what interview I'm talking about and can find a link (or just remembers it well), I'm sure I misrepresented him at least somewhat, but that's what I remember. Now that he's confirmed to be heading development on a sequel, I'd really like to read over that again.

Oh, I know what you're talking about. I'm not so sure he said "casual" but whatevs. I do want the next Smash to be like Brawl but a helluva balanced. No more nerfing characters unless its really necessary. Keep "Luigi-fied" clones and change movesets of characters such as Toon Link who could have used Bomb Chu, the Deku Leaf, Skull Hammer and who's Final Smash could have been him conducting with that wand-thing (been so long since I played WW) to conduct a strong gale- not a Triforce Slash. Falco's Final Smash could have been a cutscene like C.Falcon's- riding in the Arwing and blasting the fighters. Maybe interactive like Snake's where you control the Arwing in the foreground and press the A button to shoot, and the B button to shoot those bombs.

For those certain characters...new Final Smashes...Also, Geno...change Meta Knight's voice, no more tripping. (besides when bananas are involved, as well during Luigi's "WTF?!" moment) Oooh, ooh!...A character Creator tool! xD

Don't like the character roster? Put him/her in yourself! xD (but that will never happen)

Maybe not the kind you're thinking of, but they could have something similar that doesn't require extensive knowledge of programming for the game's engine or professional 3D modeling skills. What about Miis? You could set up their movesets with attacks from different characters, and there could be limits on what you could give them, to make sure they're not incredibly broken.

@komicturtle92: They could have easily given Toon Link a moveset based entirely on Wind Waker-specific items. They should remove either Falco or Wolf and give one of the remaining characters the Final Smash you described. The Land Master is the most broken Final Smash in the game.

Am I the only one who didn't like Subspace Emissary? I felt It detracted time away from the multiplayer focus and (though the cut scenes were awesome) it upped development time unnecessarily. I also don't mind clones that much as long as they change how the feel (think Fox being lighter then Falco in Melee) plus it's an easy way to stuff the game with fan favorites that wouldn't be in the game had they needed to develop whole new moves sets. Also, Geno for Bash/U/The Squeakquel/whatever the next game is called.

(the game will be called Smack Down!!! xD)
Subspace was fun the first time...but the second time I couldn't even finish it, tried starting over again and still didn't finish. I want some of the boss trophies too. >_>

No, I liked it. You can see it as a bonus, it should be nothing to destract you from your favourite game modes.
On another note, The Subspace Emissary was just an advancement over the short little adventurous sections of the prequels (think Link's Triforce hunt dungeon in Melee). It's just a well-presented adventure with a story told in amazing cutscenes and where all Nintendo characters meet by destiny and join forces to rescue the world - and it still feels 100% Super Smash Bros. Brawl. I get it, you want more of your core modes, but I like cool extras such as the Subspace Emissary.
