First impression to me is, if you've used the gamepad motion aiming in Splatoon and Zelda, you won't have much to worry about. The only difference is you're dogfighting so changing direction in a big way quite often, but that's where the wider view from the TV comes in. That's the unnatural bit - if you were in a real craft, dogfighting, you could glance away from your target, but you can't get the wideshot of the environment to help you know your position relative to everything else.

You guys had me at blood and semen.

What better way to celebrate than firing something out of the pipe?

On another note, I can just say how awesome the game's soundtrack is. The choir is a nice touch to Star Wolf's theme.

I'm glad that the control situation's just "If you've played Splatoon, you'll be fine." The controls for Splatoon didn't click for me immediately but now I can't go back to twin stick controls. Can't wait to get my hands on this game.

God first.

Judging by some comments here... F*** reviewers that don't give a chance to new control schemes. The only thing that games can experiment with is story, anything else is just a "gimmick".

But hey, we'll get some very good interactive movies.

Check out my super awesome Super Mario Maker levels.

I played the first few levels and the controls are fine. Just need more practice and then the score gold medals will be manageable!

Just curious here, what were the reviewers complaining about the lack of replay value? Do you get to go to alternate routes or you don't get to in this rate?

After so long...I'm back. Don't ask why

@Socar: There are alternate routes but you can get to them by replaying individual levels instead of replaying the entire game.

@Grumblevolcano: And......where's the flaw here? The game's on a home console and in today's standards, people can't spend so much time playing a game just to beat it.

Jirard has put more than 50+ hours into the game during the embargo alone.

@Socar: Never said there was but some of the lower scored reviewers for some reason do.

What's with the inconsistency? The spin on the game itself says ''Star Fox Zero'', but the steelbook case says ''StarFox Zero''.

@Grumblevolcano: Odd......the're complaining about how the replay value works differently than the previous game? wow. What a lame criticism to have if its the same thing either way.

Star Fox's titles have always confused me. I have never been sure if it is Star Fox or StarFox.

People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

Similar to how reviews will mark a game down for not having online multiplayer regardless if the game would work with online multiplayer or not.

Both are wrong, it's called Starwing and Llyat Wars.

I've just bothered to google why the first few games weren't called Star Fox in the UK/Eur, apparently there's a company called Starvox in Germany and Nintendo were worried people were going to be confused between the two. They could of at least called Lylat Wars Starwing 64 instead.

@Octane: Zelda and Unchartes have nothing on Star Fox. It will be a tough race between Star Fox Zero and Star Fox Guard for GotY but I think Zero will win out (mostly because websites only like giving awards to retail games)

Other way around. Star Fox has nothing on Zelda or Uncharted. Star Fox is good but it's not in the same league simply because those games sell consoles, Star Fox wouldn't shift consoles.

No, the proper name is Star Fox. Evidenced by the fact that Europe didn't get Lylat Wars 3D on the 3DS or Starwing Zero on the Wii U.

Currently Playing: Metroid Prime 4: Beyond (NS2); Corpse Factory (PC)

Nope. You are the one that has it the other way around. Star Fox is 2016 GotY. We just need to figure out if it is Star Fox Zero or Star Fox Guard.
