@Jorjaymad-6715: That's the first of me seeing it be the same mode twice in a row.Surely it has to be at one point though as it would always be the same mode at the same time everyday otherwise.
@DiscoGentleman: Hope you feel better soon.Looking forward to MK8 tomorrow, you caused me a lot of lost places last time out haha. You might not have been aware how much damage several of your items done to me but I certainly was haha
@VeeFlamesNL: Actually, I have to go. Take my spot!
It was fun though, guys! Sorry we didn't do well at all! XD Thanks for playing.
Note to Self: Let Kazuo do the sniping. lol XD I think I'm a decent sniper, but no where near Kazuo good!
Haha, what charger were you trying?
I didn't play Splatoon at all today
Right now I'm playing some local multiplayer games with my brother (never tried it before, but Game & Wario's multiplayer is pretty fun), but would you guys be up for some squads tomorrow?

I was using the 3K Scope with two main damage ups. Worked pretty well, the burst bombs helped A LOT. I'll up for some squads tomorrow! Then MK8!!
@Jazzer94 that's pretty good! Since you sometimes used a charger I kind of thought of you as something like a rival haha. Although I think you are a better charger than me.

Ah, nice! Normally I think it might be better to start out with a splatcharger/scope, but using the 3K from the start could help you get used to it sooner maybe. And a couple damage ups are a big help for it. (I still miss being able to do a half charge shot before the need...)
Just @ me tomorrow when you want to play and I'll join as soon as I can.
@yokokazuo: Will do! I usually main the Splatterscope actually, when I'm a sniper, but the stages were Bluefin and Blackbelly, so I thought the extra range would come in handy. I also liked having the burst bombs. I love burst bombs! I do agree that the damage up ability helps tremendously. It can really save you in those up close situations!
Anybody else wish there was a better feedback loop when playing Ranked Mode? The gameplay is often more interesting and complex than straight Turf Wars, but I really feel as though it's not incentivized nearly as well. As someone who's focusing on upgrading all the gear, I can net 800-1,000 points even for a loss in Turf Wars â as long as I personally do well, I get rewarded. If my team wins as a whole, I get better rewards. There's always positive feedback, always the feeling of some progress made.
I understand that the risk-reward factor has to be stronger in Ranked, and I'm totally fine with the ranking system itself (i.e. the grades). But in terms of earning points and raising your level, when you play and get next to nothing for a loss, it feels like such a slog. I think I'd enjoy myself a whole lot more it wasn't a virtually complete "all or nothing" scenario.
Admittedly, I'm damn good at Turf Wars and pretty crap at Ranked. But I've been chewing on how I feel about the feedback loop since Ranked Mode has existed (day-one Splatoon player, here), and the feeling persists. Just me?
@VelvetElvis: I personally gave up on getting perfect gear slots and I feel that I'm too high up on the ranked ladder to try new gear in ranked or I'll lose worse than I normally do.
But I agree that the feedback doesn't make much sense, however you do get a pretty big reward for winning matches so if you play a lot of ranked it should balance out as long as you don't keep losing; it's probably much faster actually.
I would have never guessed Weezing was so useful until I played a HeartGold Nuzlocke! My YouTube Channel! Video game related, of course! My Pushmo Levels
@MasterWario: Glad to hear I'm not alone. I have a few friends who play on my profile, which helps with the gear (probably not so good for my reputation though, ha), so we'll see how it ends up.
The modes balancing out (in terms of rewards) was my initial thought, too, but I'm not sure â it'd take some research to know, and there are so many variables (I feel like I get more "streaks," winning or losing, in Ranked). Psychologically, the constant point rewards in Turf War make me feel like I'm getting more positive feedback, though. I'd love for Ranked Mode to be tweaked in such a way to reward more points toward gear and levels, while keeping the letter grading system the same.
@Blue_Blur ah, I see. The standard Splatterscope? I used to main the kelp version since I'm not much of a fan of the bomb rush and splat bombs and I like the killer wail quite a bit. Plus the sprinkler helps build my special over time too.

I decided just to use the standard scope splatterscope myself that rotation, honestly think it's a bit better on those two stages for TC as on bluefin it can hit tower and two little platforms either side easily and still pressures a team who are going for tower. Blackbelly isn't to big so the slightly faster charge of the standard scope just makes skirmishes easier.
I am honestly staggered at the number of people who can't play Blackbelly SZ. If there are 2 zones, don't just rely on one player to hold the other zone! I know that isn't anyone on here, but I needed to vent after a really bad losing streak due to that. I also hate the algorithms for deciding who's on which team. If there are 4 S Rankers, 4 A Rankers, it makes complete sense to put all the S Rankers on one team.
