@Nicolai Ahh, hard luck... If you excel at any of the modes, I'd advise playing that one more than the others. I'm probably an A+ Rank for Rainmaker, A- for Splatzones, and B- for Tower Control, so I play mainly rainmaker, with a little bit of Splatzones thrown in. I'm going to learn a new weapon for Tower Control, I think. Probably the N-Zap, methinks. Good coverage, good specials. I'll just have to get more accurate at shooting under pressure. I can't seem to hit the proverbial barn door with any sniper. I'm good at close range with a Sniper, though, for some reason.
I'd say only do this to an extent otherwise you'll find yourself lacking greatly skillwise for some modes, I've had to work on my SZ quite a bit recently due to playing majority TC/RM.

My thoughts exactly, plus I mostly want to play whenever I feel like it. And I always advocate playing out of my comfort zone, which is why I struggle with chargers despite being quite bad at them most of the time. And play Splatoon in general.
@Nicolai I mean just to get back up to A-, to keep pushing forward. I've written TC off as just something I can't do with a roller. I know some are ver successful. Just doesn't suit my playstyle.
I'll definitely have to get a secondary weapon type for TC, which will probably be N-Zaps/Shooters.

I would also recommend the Squelchers. I use the Dual Squelchers, and I find the range very useful for Tower Control. The range allows you to defeat opponents without getting in any danger near the tower. This might help you have less "under pressure" situations, and preform better. If you use the regular Dual Squelcher, then the splat bombs will also be a useful tool. The Custom Dual Squelcher has beacons, which is okay if your team uses them, but it also has the Killer Wail, which I believe is very useful in stopping the tower in narrow paths.
The N-Zap's are good to, I would recommend those second. I use them sometimes, and have gotten pretty good results with them. They recently got buffed in the update; it made the Inklings walk faster while shooting. I would go with the '85 N-Zap. It has splat bombs and echolocator, and those specials are very useful in tower control. The other N-Zap has the Inkstrike, which is hard to use effectively in TC, in my opinion. Go with whichever weapon you feel most comfortable with though, this is just a suggestion.
