My strategy was to try and splat the first enemy I saw. I always died in the process, but at least I splatted the opponent, too! It never hurts to sacrifice yourself if it means making a clear path for the Rainmaker. We did a great job at protecting the Rainmaker that last match though, it was SO close!
@DreamyViridi That's the playstyle I used to play, until I realised it didn't quite work with rollers. It should work well for your N-Zap though.
Also, as you get further up the ranks in Rainmaker, people tend to burst it, then push up, not grabbing it, leaving room for an oppertunistic squid to grab it, and go the other way. Last week, I won against a team of A+ people by doing that, and it was the funniest match I've had. Horribly outmatched, yet still won by their stupidity.
@TheXReturns: Heh, funny. I think something like that happened to me in one of the B+ matches of Rainmaker. I was close to opposing goal and said out loud ".....Where is everybody?" XD
I guess my teammates really occupied their time. A respawning enemy almost got me but it wasn't enough!
