Topic: Splatoon - OT

So some of the images from the Splatoon artbook have been shown and surprisingly, the artbook also contains a bit of information about the world of Splatoon.

Prevously unknown concept art for the Squid Sisters.

Also it describes a bit more about the Octarians. From what I've been told (since I can't read Japanese), in one of the book's captions it says that all Octarians are coming from the cut-off tentacles of one single source and those specific Octarians are incapable of reproduction. Also it was stated that the more tentacles they have the higher their rank and intelligence.

Edit: Also, Sheldon appeared to have been originally designed as a Puffer Fish before later being changed to a Horse Shoe Crab. Octo Valley was also designed significantly different as well it appeared more post-apocalyptic.

@OorWullie: That damned sniper called Randy.He must have got me 10 times out of those 12 deaths.Even when I sneaked up on him he got me with a kraken.

@OorWullie: OMG those snipers were freakin' annoying! Just as soon as I wanted to take one out, the other splatted me! So ANNOYING!

@iphys: The way I see it, everyone tends to have completely different experiences during the same Splatfest. I don't think you're likely to see the general flow of how the results will play out. In fact, I'm sure you'd find differing trends if you tiered off all the different levels (level 20-30, 30-40, etc.), and based on your internet connection, or when you decide to play, or whether you got paired within your level range or not, you could have a completely different idea of what went down.

@Aromaiden: Wow, anyone else like the arrow design on the Squid Sisters way more than the grilled squid look?

@Nicolai: Are you talking about the arrow design on the left or right? I like the left one better than the one they use in the game. The roller skate one on the right is pretty unique... glad they didn't with that one! I don't think it would've fit into the game's theme at all!

@Blue_Blur: Well, both, but mainly the one on the left, the one that's almost the current design. I wouldn't mind if they changed outfits, though! They're still really recognizable in different outfits.

@Aromaiden: Thank you for reminding me that I should order the artbook and soundtrack.

Right after the Splatfest I got on the game to see the results and ended up playing for the next 3 hours. I've been reluctant because I was at S 1. Needless to say my first game ended in about 30 seconds as my team got creamed lol. Only took about 45 minutes though to get back this time as playing against anything lower then S now Seems easier. I'm no longer afraid to drop out but I'll try not to let that happen again.

@Spoony_Tech: I can play for 30-40 mins.
