IIRC, the map has also a lot of water around, and plenty of grilles as walkways (or whatever the term for it is).
I played through Bluefin Depot earlier today (level 20 in single player is probably the version that will be closest to the online version) as a preparation for the online. The water hazards are mainly close to the spawn point, and I think this is similar to Saltspray Rig in that the spawn point is almost impossible to reach by the enemy other than by instrike. There are some water in the lower middle section as well, but I don't think that would cause any real issues for players.
There are a big number of mesh grates as well as hiding points, so I guess that although chargers would seem like an obvious weapon here, it seems balanced enough to provide a good stage even for good roller players.
The Japanese Splatoon twitter had some more pictures, although it's pretty known grounds for anyone who played the Single Player campaign.
Boy, it looks great, but man, all that water! I can't tell you how many times I run straight into it in Arowana Mall (especially since that stage is so tall). I'm going to be doing that a lot until I memorize the course.

The map I really want to see is the map they showed in the Direct. I believe it was called Camp Triggerfish and I really liked its design in the Direct.
Them sub abilities are trolling me hard haha. and at one reset costing 30k its really expensive to get to get a good set of gear going.

Geez, what's with the difficulty spike on the final boss in single-player mode? I'd never even seen this game's Game Over screen until I fought this thing, and then I wound up seeing it five or six times before I finally managed to kill it.

My son should've too but he fell off the edge for no reason twice. That still doesn't make the final battle any less tense as I was watching and he needed to pause it about 70% of the way through just to catch his breath and relax for a few.
It gets much easier the second go. I thought it was surprisingly difficult the first time, but I went back the other day and almost did the whole thing on reflexes.

There is nothing that I love more than sniping an Aerospray RG with my Charger, especially when they charge at me. The more I play against Aerosprays the more I notice how bad they are at range, and I always wonder why an Aerospray user would try to charge me when I have the advantage of distance.

Thanks. I plan on getting the Amiibos a bit later on (if available of course) to unlock their collectables.
NA Splatfest is postponed due to matchmaking issues with the Japanese Splatfest.

Disappointing, but I'd rather have it go smoothly than have a bunch of long wait times and connection errors. Must have stunk for the Japanese players and I'm glad they are saving us the trouble.
