Topic: Splatoon - OT

Im not talking about graphics lol

im talking about how bare bones is the experience, im stupidly adictive to the game (and i dont see it ending any tiem soon) but it lacks some stuff, completely fine for their first time thou, but the sequel must have a more robust experience all around.

10 bucks says they STILL won't have voice chat in the sequel. I will say they will give it a more robust text chat option. maybe give us the option to customize preset messages to be something more useful. Or maybe customization for our little avatar on the map(when looking at the gamepad to make us more distinct. Frankly I always thought it would be useful to jet to somebody you recognize on the map(they covered your squiddy behind or you work well together)

Well im not talking about Voice Chat, it would be cool but im not too into that, especially since theres no region locking lol

Im saying about, loadouts, more maps, map selection, more customization, that includes game modes AND skills that are not based on the gear, etc...

They probably still wouldn't do the loadout customizations.(all about that balance) I get the more maps thing. I wouldn't mind more game modes like an "attack of the zquids"(zombie squids ) or your standard death(splat) match. I was thinking a CTF where you just swap out the flag for the zapfish(CTZF)

CTF would work amazingly well imo

A nice twist would be the zapfish enhances your abilities(run speed and jump height). Cuts your hp in half(its a zap fish, hazardous to your health) and gives you a shield to withstand a few hits. Your gear abilities would be negated. All in the name of balance

A sequel to Splatoon would not need to build up the userbase for the new IP like this version needs to do. And based on other sequels from Nintendo, a sequel will probably include new gimmicks, use a different control scheme, include lots of legacy maps day 1, and produce constant discussion among players about which version is the best one. And 10 years from now, people will want a remake of Splatoon 1 for the current console.

I think everyone thinks that at first. Way too overpowered for painting except for they're almost always an easy kill. If I see more then one roller on the other team it almost guarantees our team a victory. I've seen one or 2 skillful users with it. Plus I've found myself following them undoing all their work and racking up the points. It is a good starter weapon for beginners though.

Definitely. Wasn't aware you still had to do them separately for the 3DS and Wii U (isn't this supposed to be one of the benefits of an account system?)

Oh, I think you'll use them quite often in Ranked Battles. It's so satisfying to knock out someone with the rifles...

Oh i noticed, used in 1 match and felt lacking, got some kills but that didnt win us the match (we end up losing by the way)
