Topic: Splatoon - OT

It's dlc, he doesn't need a timeline. This would be welcome Mario dlc for me as it fits. If you don't think does too bad lol.

The problem is still the timeline. I'm not that familiar with Squid Girl, but the story seems to fit very well with the current timeline and plot of Splatoon. This is according to Wikipedia:
Squid Girl is a girl from the ocean who possesses squid-like tentacles for hair. She vows to invade mankind as revenge for its pollution of the ocean. Her first task is to make the Lemon Beach House snack bar, owned by the Aizawa siblings, her base of operations. However, when she accidentally breaks a hole in their wall trying to swat a mosquito, she is forced to work as a waitress to pay off the damages. Thus, Squid Girl begins her life on the surface, learning new things and encountering many curious visitors to the beach house.

Squid Girl could easily end up there in the same way as Judd did.

After Mario Galaxy, I think Mario is allowed to show up anywhere and use the fact that he's traveling the galaxy as an excuse

Are we actually discussing timeline with Mario?... I mean, Zelda timeline is already overthinking things too much, but this is just absurd lol.

I am so glad I complete the story mode yesterday (and reach lvl 20 to boot), 2 of those post would of left me in shock 3 days sooner

It would be weird if Mario is that world, even if he been in much weirder time and places like with Mario is Missing. But it would make sense if the Inklings rock his style with the hat, overall, and shoes as gears.

Fifth gen Mario was a fake while original Mario went on holiday in sunshine. There, he learned about peach's mile high club and how she had bowser jr and didn't even know for sure who the father was. Of course, the plumber was only offset by his brother in those scenes, but forgave him after the mansion events.

This of course made Mario anxious to get into space to find a new dream chick, while fake Mario went on with Toad and the gang to 1up the world in 3D. Real Mario is nurturing stars in space right now, while the next smash DLC makes two Mario's face off against each other to settle the score once and for all.

How does this not occur to you?

Wait until you see Toad's story arc. That is real grown up material.

But the Zelda & Mario timelines are connected because of Mario Kart 8!!! So Mario and Zelda are in the same universe plus Mario and Sonic have games together so they are in the same universe too, then Sonic also shares the universe with Jet Set Radio, Crazy Taxi , Shenmue, Skies of Arcadia, Wreck-It Ralph, Shenmue and Golden Axe because of All Star Racing.

How long do you guys think will splatoon stay relevant ? I can see this game having really long legs in terms of community

FLUDD could work like a splattershot weapon, they could call it FLUDDshot, regardless of how it is held.

Mario won't be in the game, just his hat. It would give our squid or inkling the abltiy to jump longer, which would come in handy in Port Mackerel. Maybe some other outfit skins like the Miis wear in SSB and MK8. But it won't be the characters.

Probably Splatoon 2: SSB Edition. They can't call it Mario ed b/c of all the people whining over Link's inclusion in Mario Kart. SSB edition would give them instead cred w/ all the people who fight in SSB tournaments as well. Splatoon needs to become worldwide famous big.

Had a ranked battle with some randoms that was interesting. On Saltspray Rig there are those high points around the zone and the opposing team was mostly chargers. They kept picking off members of my team who were just trying to hold onto the main area with rollers and splatterguns. Nobody seemed to be taking them down, they were all pre-occupied with holding the zone, so I took control of it. I kept going around the back and taking them out for the WHOLE MATCH. They never seemed to catch on that's what I was doing or that I was coming around again. First time in that mode I've felt like I almost single-handedly won the match.

Aren't all ranked battles w/ randoms, or did and your friends find some way to beat the system? Or am I just reading too much into that?

Was very glad to read of some maps having mutliple splat zones, looking to give it another try, b/c Salt Spray and Underpass are all about the sniping, and it just seems like whoever gains control first wins as they are easy to defend.

MY GOD! That also means that we can add in a crap-ton of Namco worlds because of Pac-man's side-taunt and the Smash Run enemies! And we can also add in 007 because of the motion sensor bomb in Melee! This universe doesn't just span through videogames! Anyways, I know I'm a bit late to the FLUDD rumor, but I'd like for it to be true. I'm taking it with a grain of salt, but I'm a relatively big fan of Mario Sunshine (I'll gladly take Sunshine 2 over Galaxy 3, thank you.), so it'd be nice. Still... it'd be wierd to see Mario turn into a Squid...YOU'RE A PLUMBER, NOW! YOU'RE A SQUID...ER, NOW!

Super Mario Sunshine is one of my favourite, if not my favourite game. Yet I don't care at all for FLUDD in Splatoon or a sequel to Sunshine. Isn't that weird? Let Splatoon be what it is, no need for Mario to be in it...

If you go to the online lobby, , I think you press "Y" and that allows you to explore (recon) the current online stages. No ememies and there is still a 3min limit. Great for getting to know the maps also

There will be no training tutorial but it's an alternative at least.

The Mario Sunshine DLC is fake. The Splatoon logo has no Japanese characters under it, yet everything else is in Japanese? The logo itself looks a bit off to be too.

How about they just keep Mario out of this game? He's freaking everywhere already. Let the fludd idea die please. Just my opinion. The only Mario stuff I want are amiibo t-shirts inspired by Mario, as for the Mario universe itself? Keep it away, and let Splatoon be free to be it's own thing.

Boy am I sick of the "sneaky angled camera shot of something absolutely everyone would love" trick. It's so cliché already. If people want to fake leaks, they need to do what that rayman guy did. Now that was a good fake.

Echolocator is my favorite one. No need to wait for an opportunity to use it. Just press when ready. Plus it's not wasted if you get splated right when you activate it. That special saved me more times than any other special and maybe my teammates if they view the map (Gamepad) as well.

I always laugh a bit when someone is hiding in their ink in front of me, waiting for me to walk or turn away, not knowing I can see them. It reminds me of the Kool-Aid guy playing hide and seek in the new commerical with the kids.

Just a few notes: I wish there was a splatter shot combo with the Echolocator power up.

And so far I'm not a fan of the Splat Zone mode. Sure it's different and requires a new strat to the game, I still feel Turf Wars is the core game for me.

If I recall, they can tell when someone activiated the Echolocator because it has the arrow spinning around on their screen too.
