I got into 2 games, now not anymore.

btw. Are the motion controls different this time?
I can't remember using it for left and right movements. I thought it was only up and down aiming? ô_ô

Been unable to play for 15 mins now, glad I'm not the only one.

Couldn't find matches so thought my internet was playing up so reset my router. Got kicked back to main menu and couldn't even get past the Connecting to Internet bit before the single player demo launches.
Managed to get back to selecting weapon and searching for matches but not finding any matches.

Just curious if anyone is playing matches at the time I post this?

One match here. Just lots of fruitless 'searching' since then. BOGUS.

Same here, except I managed to get 1 and a half matches. Got booted out in the middle of the second one.

Must be server side issues I suspect, keep getting "Partner device failed to respond". I get that error message on MK8 from time to time when the search times out.

Cant get on so disappointed with Nintendo been waiting all day for this!

This session was actually just to give everybody some practice time with Squid Jump.

I won twice in a row and both times I was in 1st place...then the servers are being poop so I can't wreck more people, but they amount of kills I got fills me with joy!

Two words...EPIC FAIL.

Was also looking forward to this all day, guess I was blind to the fact that there would be connection issues though, afterall it's not like last time where each part of the world would most likely pick one testfire session out of the 3 available and gun for that.

This time it's the whole world trying to play in this single hour!

Hope these problems don't translate into the retail release which is nearly 5 days away for us in the UK.

Seriously though, what happened? The first and third testifires worked flawlessly (didn't play the second one), I wondered what happened this time?

Was able to join a lobby again...was the only one to join that lobby....

Someone at Nintendo has dropped the ball!

Seriously one hour I've spent most time looking at "searching for a battle to join screen" :/

Just seen Nintendo Life tweet saying Nintendo has issued statement that there high level of traffic!

Well duh!

If can't cope with this hows gonna be when game comes out! :/

Of course this happened the one time I was able to play. Only got to play one match in Turf War, but I've played a lot of Squid Jump.

The traffic level is so high that there are people that cannot join matches, this can't be looking good for when the game comes out. Release day will be mayhem.

On the other hand, it could be just because the whole world are playing within this hour. Release day, the playing times could be more spread out because certain parts of the world will be night time.
This is probably going to be the worst time to play after the game comes out because: Japan it will be early morning. US will be afternoon/evening. UK/Europe will be late/midnight.

I wonder if they saw it went so well last time, they tried reducing the servers this time to see if they could save money when the game launches. We have to remember, this was a test on their servers, for Nintendo's benefit, and not really for ours.
