Oh no! I brought my Wii U with me for one night in another city to practice before the Splatfest and the maintenance has already started? That's probably the way it always was, but I just didn't think about that. ^^ Could've left the Wii U at home then...
I can't really say I've done my bit for Team Callie, having dropped 40 points to 1560 since the start, but I've made it to Champion, which is something. It took me a while to adjust to the tactics of Turf War again (especially at a high level), and I had three matches where someone on our team either DCed or just gave up, so spent the match standing on the spawn point.
Excuses aside, it's been quite fun. After getting into the swing of things, I found I was able to play Turf War a little more sensibly. Teamwork is essential - I suppose that goes for all the other modes too, but running into the middle and getting picked of repeatedly made for a pretty stern reminder. I've grown a little tired of the music, which is sad as it's probably the best song in the game (in a game full of good songs). I might give it another go tomorrow, but I'm glad I at least participated. It would have been a shame to miss the final Splatfest.
Yeah, since the introduction of Splatfest Power, Splatfest matches got a lot more challenging and therefore more fun because you encounter the same players that you would in ranked.

But why? I had two 3vs4 matches so far and won both. I even think winning shorthanded is a bit easier in TW than in the other modes.
But I agree about the bg music, that song was always my favourite (I sometimes switch to it in the lobby with Squid Beatz) but now I've heard so often that it almost gets annoying.
Also, I've played almost all matches with the N-Zap '83... and it's such a killing machine! I had more splats than usual and consistenly a positive K/D... I'm really tired but I'll keep playing until I reach Marie King, I owe it to future me.
I only had a few hours to play before it was over, and finally made it to Marie Queen, because Marie IS my queen.
I cant tell which team will win, but it doesn't matter to me. I had a fun time playing and had good matches, so it's a satisfying end to Splatfests for me.
Well, the final Splatfest has come to a close. My turf wars went rather well yesterday, going from 1600 to 1775 in Splatfest Power; peppered with losses here and there but I had a good time.
I'm happy I managed to take part in the last splatfest. Shame we still couldn't keep the Tee though. Guess we'll find out who wins in the next hour or so. Good luck to both sides! Let's go, Team Marie!

Yay, Team Marie won. I made it all the way to Marie King rank yesterday, and I think I won more games than I lost, but Team Callie put up a very good fight.
Plus, after collecting my super sea snails, I played a few ranked matches and made it to GLORIOUS S RANK for the first time. I'm so excited to finally reach S rank.
