Topic: Splatoon - OT

Worldwide sales of Splatoon are major!!!! Almost 4.5 million!!!!!!!!!!!

Sigh I got so close... I was at S 98, then one of my teammates disconnected on me. A few ups and downs later, and I'm back down at S 60... I know currently, I'm not good enough to get to S+, but I'm thinking of using some of my holidays to completely relearn the game from the ground up, using motion controls this time. I think I may try either Gals or Blasters, something relatively offensively orientated.

@TheXReturns ttk and Pro are pretty good offensive weapons.

Playing the Testfire, I wasn't really a fan of motion controls so after I got the game and had the hang of things I turned off motion controls and it was awful.. Can't play without motion controls now

Anyone want to play Splatoon?

Wow, final Splatfest... sad to see them go. I think it would have been good to keep them going while the Wii U looks to have less titles released this year.

Also Japan will play with Japan while NA and Europe will play together, but all results will be tallied together.
All Splatoon owners should be getting an email where they can vote for the Splatfest choices, last day to vote is July 12th.

We need a Splatoon sequel!!

I honestly thought they would've continued until at least a sequel/port was confirmed for NX but no, by definition of fall the NX console reveal is at earliest 2 months after than the final Splatfest not to mention of course the possibility of no Splatoon news at the NX reveal. I'll be participating for sure though.

They definitely chose the right theme to go out on though. Team Marie all the way.

Inb4 They announce Spla2n exclusively for the NX at the end of the Splatfest.

Expected splatfests to go on atleast till early 2017, just over a year feels a bit short oh well.

Alas, Splatfest will be entering it's series finale, which is too soon, since I was going to try and max out my super sea snails counter, this splatfest will at least make me have over 300.

......Also WISH WE CAN KEEP THOSE T-SHIRTS! (I would've loved a SpongeBob/Patrick shirt :'U )

What are we going to do about Super Sea Snails now? Are they just impossible to get now?

I'm exactly the opposite, I'd wish they wouldn't force us to use those Splatfest shirts, I'm annoyed by that every time and it screws up my equipment. If it were about the colour, they could just force the colour on any poiece of clothing your wearing. I hate Spatfest shirts.
And how on earth can you have 300 snails? Don't you ever need/use them?

You think? In my opinion it is ridiculous, but fitting because most Splatfest themes were uninspired. If the last Splatfest was going to be Callie vs. Marie anyway, they could've saved them the trouble and made all Splatfests about Callie vs. Marie. This theme for the final Splatfest is really symptomatic for their unimaginativity.
But yeah, I'll be on team Marie, too.

That makes absolutely no sense, why are they splitting it up like that? The final Splatfest should be with all Splatoon players worldwide. Lag can't be the reason since the distance between NA and EU is bigger than between NA and Japan...

I was really shocked when I read that this is going to be the final Splatfest. So we're supposed to just wait a year or longer? Where am I supposed to get my sea snails from?

@shani To be honest, I think this is the start of Nintendo's major drought plan to try and convince Wii U owners to buy NX. A desperate attempt with the logic of "if we barely release anything and take away stuff that already exists then certainly the Wii U owners will an NX because otherwise they're left with nothing".

@Grumblevolcano Yeah but isn't it a bit early? It's still ~ 8 months until NX is released. I would totally understand if they went through with that major drought plan in 8 months, in fact I think that's totally fine, but it doesn't make sense to do it now...
