@Nicolai: How long did you unplug the Wii U for? Leave it unplugged for 10 minutes so the memory can reset. (I've heard the Wii U also has a battery or something you can remove but idk about that.) You can also try removing the current Wi-Fi connection in the options menu and search for it again.
If you can make your phone a wi-fi hotspot or have some other way to connect to Wi-Fi you should try that.
If that still doesn't work you may actually have a hardware issue...

@MasterWario: I'll try leaving it unplugged for a half hour. I tried researching for the router. I'm not sure how to make my phone a Wi-Fi hotspot; can I do that while my phone is using my apartment's WI-FI? I have a limited data plan.

Mahie Mahie is amazing, actually enjoying SZ a lot on the map.

@Nicolai: I think so...but I'm not sure how it works, see my mobile provider locked tethering on my phone so I've never been able to try it. But if it would work, you should only use it for like 2 minutes to check that it's the Wii U + router that's the issue, not your Wii U. Because the big question is it your Wii U's fault or the router/internet provider's.

Sounds like the new stage is a fun time. I guess now that my stuffs is due (for better or for worse) I should try the new stage out!

Splatoon won Best Multiplayer and Best Shooter at The Game Awards!

Now that I got my internet back (sorta), I need some Splatoon practice! Who's gonna be online tomorrow around 2:30pm EST?

Well I dropped out of S...and got right back in again. A+ Rainmaker is most exciting, and hilarious. Still don't think I'm that good with the charger, but I'm winning games with it...

@IceClimbers: They won best shooter too? Nice! There's no other shooter in my book, ha ha.

@Nicolai: Sorta? Well glad to hear you got it working! Not sure if I'll be available then, but it's surely plausible.

@MasterWario: By sorta, I mean that It works when I connect it via Ethernet. Which is not ideal with my current set-up, because my roommate could easily trip over my cord, and I'm not always going to be able to set it up this way in the future. So, it's a problem that needs to be addressed, but it doesn't mean "no more Splatoon."

Splatoon has been great. Here is Nintendo's first jump into an online console shooter, competing for an award against the juggernauts in CoD, Halo, and Destiny, and coming away with the award. You couldn't ask for more in a game's first entry.

Which will probably translate to a couple of extra 100,000 units sold in the NoA and NoE region.

In Mahie Mahie Resort, does the map still change in Ranked Battle? I am wondering because we only saw it in TW, and maps like Camp Triggerfish only change in TW.

According to NeoGAF, it changes immediately in Tower Control, but it changes after 2:30 in Rainmaker. Don't know about Splat Zones.

@jariw I can confirm the Water Level changes after 2:30 for Splat Zones as well since it's in the rotation at the moment.
