Topic: Simple concept/DS style games you want on Wii U Thread

I was just thinking about what kind of common concept games I want on Wii U, and that led to thinking of the fun I had with DS, so I'm including that into the discussion. The ones on top of my list were Meteos(not Disney version), Puzzle League, and touch based games.
Those were both on DS, but I don't think they got the attention they deserved.

I think a new version of Meteos in HD with online and more stuff to do in general would be really great. I was such a sucker for that game... It would require 2 GamePads for 2 player and be compatible with 3DS systems or system link with another Wii U.
Maybe that's too much, but I just want the game on 3DS or Wii U in some form.

Planet Puzzle League was pretty disappointing on the DS, IMO, so I think a new version would be much better.

We're already getting Puyo/Tetris, but I feel like everyone already has those(at least Tetris).

Possibly even another The World Ends with you game. I just have this feeling that games from the DS should make a jump to Wii U with new entries taking advantage of the GamePad and such. It would seem the most natural, IMO.
Game & Wario has already taken some steps into that sort of appeal, but DS games being bigger and better sounds awesome.

What common concept/DS style game would you guys like to have?

WarioWare DIY. I mean, the 3DS and Wii U basically have identical control schemes and interfaces now, so they could make a sequel and let you make microgames based around the microphone, gyroscope/motion controls and camera as well as the touch screen.

I just think that Wii U has all of the similarities that DS has, so I'm getting the same vibe that we could end up getting the type of games DS had in comparison to the PSP around the same time.

Games like Contact, Trauma Center, Final Fantasy, and there quite a few "obscure" games that were genuinely good that made good use of the touch screen while still being a relatively core game overall.

Wonderful 101 has this type of concept as well.

I want games that DS vibe back, in otherwords.

We're already seeing similar early DS lifetime ideas happening, even simply just by putting the map and a few hud/inventory options on a standard game.

Meteos would be the best puzzle game for Wii U, IMO, even though it didn't fair so well on Xbox 360. You were required to use a controller as opposed to touch controls, I think.

BTW, @CM30, a WarioWare DIY with the things you said would be perfect for user created content that takes full advantage of the Wii U's capabilities, assuming people are willing to take the time to try and make cool stuff.
