Topic: Pikmin 3 - OT

This game still looks so goddamn beautiful! I might miiiiiight have to get it just so I can stare at it! I've never tried Pikmin before.

Eh, I don't care if Miyamoto delays his games, at least we know he wants to make it perfect.

LOL, almost 2 years in development. Delayed again & again. The same game shown on last year's E3 might be showcased again by Nintendo on this June's E3. By the time this game comes out there be plenty of other triple A games to play. This game should have been released the day the Wii U came out.

How can there be no Capt. Olimar when he's the main protagonist of the Pikmin series.

you know, that makes me remember diablo 3. apparently they remade the graphical style entirely 3 times during the idk 5-6 years of development, and it still turned out to be a terrible game. so i don't know really, can only hope nintendo uses the time well.

Because in this game it's a family of 4 and Olimar is not included.

I bet Captain Olimar is here in some way, just not playable.

Am I the only one who thinks that Pikmin 3 is being delayed further partly or completely because they decided to implement online multiplayer? I have my doubts, but then again I wouldn't be surprised if that is the main reason considering how many people whined when it was announced that there would be no online.

@Happy_Mask, I'm sure there's some story element to him being missing, and his probable return by the end of the game. He's just not playable, so it would make sense he's not on the front cover of the game. Although the box art doesn't really look final to me, but that may just be me overthinking things

I thought he's one of the 3 main protagonists of the game. At least Nintendo should put one protagonist in the coverart. Somethings missing in the coverart.

This would make sense. Nintendo has been oddly quiet about Pikmin 3 recently, and it got delayed again. Perhaps they've been trying to add this or something else for quite a while, and it's turned out to be a bigger task than they've expected. I mean you've got games like Dream Team that we've just heard about, but yet they're slated for this year already. There MUST be something that's holding up the release of this game, and I doubt simple polishing or fixing up glitches is the reason behind it.

Wait a minute, let's take a look back at Pikmin 2's boxart. The PAL version didn't have Captains in it either, while the NA version had both Olimar and Louie. Something to think about...

The main protagonist of the game is missing in the cover art. Now that's odd.

This is like making a cover art for NBA 2K13 with a basketball image minus the NBA players.

Perhaps the North American box art will feature some of the protagonists or some of the enemies in the game
The PAL box art for Pikmin 3 bears similarities with the PAL Pikmin 2 box art, while the North American box art for Pikmin 2 is a bit different.

This is really not a big deal cuz the cover art still looks cool. It's just my personal opinion that I find it odd Nintendo did not include at least the main protagonist of the game on the cover art.
