Topic: Pikmin 3 - OT

After playing Pikmin 2 on Wii, I'm more stoked about it. The game plays SOOO much better with Wiimote and nunchuk.

I'm hoping that Nintendo's one of those companies that can be swayed by massive community support and after launch enough people support the idea of a multiplayer mode in a game with multiple main characters and challenge mode that they will make it patched-in DLC and launch a massive 'Hey, we can do that too now' statement.

Delaying it would be a terrible idea btw, it's probably the main first-party reason for people buying WiiU at the moment, NSMBU isn't unique enough to grab the attention of those wary with their money.

Kid Icarus Uprising wasn't delayed for the online. It took longer to make because Sakurai is a perfectionist, and like Super Smash Bros. Brawl, it was announced very early in the game's development. You look at what Kid Icarus Uprising was like back at E3 2010 and look at it now and tell me it was pushed to 2012 "just for the online" Sure.

They've got, what, about 3-4 months until the launch window. I hope that they could add online in that time. If not, oh well.

I don't mind that there's no online mode but I think it probably could have been done. One word: Starcraft

This is the only game I looking foward to in the Wii U's launch window. On second thought 1st party wise this is the only launch window title i'm excited for.

Starcraft is a fairly old game that actually had online. And was also a strategy game.

Compared to the inevitable amount of shooters on the system, a Star Fox game, the NSMBU, Rayman Legends, an F Zero game, the inevitable next Wii Sports game, the inevitable Animal Crossing U, Smash Bros. 4, hopefully other good strategy games, the rumored Watch Dogs port and the Wii U's general online store and Miiverse...I don't care about Pikmin 3 being online. It'd be cool...maybe? I dunno, it just seems like something I'd really want to be specifically offline co-op.
