I understand that the Mario & Luigi series has never been on a home console yet, but that doesn't mean there can't be. I guess it makes sense that we would get a Paper Mario on the Wii U next (there's been one on every home console since the n64), but they finally switched it up and put a Paper Mario game on the 3DS. So, how about switching it up and giving us a Mario & Luigi on the Wii U?
Perhaps they could even make it a multiplayer game where instead of one player controlling both Mario and Luigi, you could have a second player play as Luigi. Or even add up to four players with Toad and Peach joining the battle.
I haven't played the more recent Mario & Luigi games, but I played through Superstar Saga and thought it was a pretty cool game. I think it would be interesting to see how a Mario & Luigi game would do on the Wii U. I would say keep it sprite based, too. I wouldn't want a Mario & Luigi game with the Super Mario 3D World or New Super Mario Bros. U graphics. Just really high resolution sprites with a lot of frames (fluid animation). Sort of like an actual cartoon, I suppose, as opposed to a 3D cartoon (like the pixar movies).
So, would you rather have a new Paper Mario game for the Wii U or a new Mario & Luigi game?
Would've been cool if Dream Team appeared on the Wii U. It already looks amazing on the 3DS, just makes you wonder, lol. (dunno how Giant Battles would work on the Wii U though) But anyways yeah, after Paper Mario moving to the 3DS, Alpha should just go ahead and make a Mario & Luigi game on the Wii U. x3

Keep it PG-13-ish.
Mario and Luigi series for their consistently great games. It would've been Paper Mario, but Sticker Star made me question the meaning of RPG. I still can't and haven't finished it to this day.

How about instead of a Mario and Luigi Nintendo just collaborates with Square and just make another Super Mario RPG. Get some third-party support while bringing something a lot of people have been wanting for years.

That's a good point. I'm afraid if Square-Enix made it, though, they would incorporate a lot of Final Fantasy characters or something and that would sort of lose my interest as I haven't kept up with the Final Fantasy games since the NES days.

Well, I'd expect Nintendo to have a lot of say in the project.. and by the looks of Bravely Default, I'd say Square is definitely capable of making a great RPG still. I really don't think they'd bring one of their characters to a Mario game. Well, except for Geno. They BETTER bring Geno, lol. I'd like to see Mallow make another appearance, too.
(I realized my Idea might be too long while I was typing xD)
OMG YES!! I just passed Paper Mario TTYD today and it's my 2nd time beating it. The first time took me like literally 4 years... I got bored because I couldn't beat the game ( I was smaller back then so my mind was like... "OKAY, Got to the Shadow Queen... Now HOW DO I BEAT IT?" Then I decided to level up a few levels then beat her lol. I LOVED THE STORY, you can like literally make a anime out of that. I hope that the next Paper Mario that mario discovers that someone or something brought the witch back.. or something like that, so he uses a time machine to get help from the 4 heroes that put her into a 1,000 year slumber or something lol. Maybe, show how the Shadow Queen got created and defeat her even before she did anything ruthless, thus never having to fight the queen in the future... (or make that shorter) and then mario goes back and made a different dreadful future!
Just thinking out loud... the possibilities are endless
Mario and luigi if they killed the Giant battles, and gave fully fleshed out 3d models. None of that Dream Team art style.

Whaaaaat?! Those giant battles were awesome dude. The motion control parts could use a little work, but I was always looking forward to those fights. That was a really good game, a little underrated if you ask me.
Mario & Luigi doesn't appeal to me as much now that one of its star characters, Fawful, is missing. While I do have interest in Dream Team, I don't view the latest installment as a must-have like the previous entries. Now with Paper Mario, I actually like the direction they went in with Sticker Star and it has been a game I've been wanting to play for this entire year. I would like to see an expansion of Sticker Star's handling of world, item, enemy and stage design on the Wii U with a greater sense of direct storytelling and more character variety with a partner system. Maybe have it like 3D World, where partners can be used to incorporate a 4-5 player co-op and potential competitive multiplayer outside of the main adventure.
they should make "Paper Mario & Luigi: the Ultimate Plumber RPG" it'd be awesome!
goodbyes are a sad part of life but for every end there's a new beggining so one must never stop looking forward to the next dawn

@I-U Not sure if you're in the US.. but I've seen Paper Mario: Sticker Star for like $10. I think that's what I paid for mine.. definitely worth that. I don't think that game gets the credit it deserves.

I know Sticker Star is cheap right now thanks to its reception, but I'd rather get the game as a gift than purchase the title myself. I've got other titles I want to be putting time towards before Wednesday anyways.

At any rate I anticipate Nintendo making a Paper Mario game on the Wii U first. However, the introduction of Mario and Luigi would be welcomed. I do not see any reason why we can not have both but when it comes down too it I would rather see Paper Mario first.
