Looks like Nintendo will win Xmas this year with a major WiiU & 3DS assault

32,800 yen in today's currency is about $330.

They still have the basic on their website. I think it got a price drop, too.

Wasn't the basic model going to be phased out?

It's certainly a great deal--especially compared to what there was before. It wouldn't surprise me to see similar bundles in America. Amazingly enough, they don't get the Zelda one. Japan is usually the place where they get the most "limited edition" hardware...

This needs a western release

I am doing a free give away for my website. See inside for details :P

Zelda isn't that popular in Japan compared to the west.

@Sony_70 Just a small issue with your post. You seem to be missing the price for the second bundle (I know it's in the links but I assume that you posted the price of the first bundle for people not to have to go directly to the links).

Will the bundle include a physical copy of Wii Fit U (unlikely since that arrives in Japan in February) or will it just give you the Fit Meter and tell you to download the digital version?

Pretty sure its a download. Sorry to say but your never going to physical bundled items again unless its a controller or bundle by Gamestop.

Dang these are good bundles. As great as the Wind Waker one is...this is the bundle they need for the holiday season out here, too. It has every game the casuals would be interested in except the new Wii Sports.

This is pretty much the best bundle Nintendo has and they can't drop the ball and not get this out in America.

-All of the Games in the Bundle are downloads meaning new buyers will have to go into the eshop and start to get the sort of brand awareness that Live and PSN has.

  • Super Mario Bros U will remind people of the Wii Game and maybe get them to buy the DLC. (especially new gamers transtioning to the core.
Wii Party U is the Party game needed even if it doesn't show off the hardware like Nintendoland does.
A Wii mote Plus means multiplayer and pushes hope that past Wii Stuff works with the Wii U.
  • In America and Europe replace Karoke with Wii Sports Club for a Week.
Free WIi U full version should target the post holiday workout craze.

Dang, these are seriously sweet bundles. I'm pretty optimistic about the holiday season for Nintendo but I'd be really concerned if similar bundles didn't make their way over seas.

I personally wouldn't mind the karaoke since it's popular at my house but I agree they should probably switch out for Wii Sports Club in the west. It'd be a no brain-er way to promote it.

I feel like adding Wii Sports Club, even if it is only the two games announced, would have sold more systems than 30 days of Karaoke, but I could be completely wrong and I am ok with that lol

People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

nintendo has to give the people of japan 3 games to convince them to buy the wii u? really?

Japan isn't getting the price cut IIRC.

IMO, Wii Fit U should've been swapped with Wii Sports Club, the bundle doesn't even come with the Balance Board.
