Well, here's a fun little easter egg I found (though I'm sure some of you guys already found it): If you tap the door repeatedly, a little 8-bit Mario pops out...and there are different versions of it in each theme!

There is nothing here...except for the stuff I just typed...

One of my favorite levels, now even better and it has a checkpoint! If you haven't played this level of mine you should totally give it a try, and for those who've already beaten it, you should play it again.

@Freeon-Leon: I liked your level "Donut Touch That!" and surely I will play the revisited version again.
I have only one level that is big enough to benefit from check points and therefore I did not change the level so much but just added a check point. That makes the level a lot easier, I guess. So if you wasn't able to beat it before, you should give it another try.

@Freeon-Leon: I would say: What's in a name?
I thought the check point would be the right thing to jump to 2.0
My idea for different versions was that I can continuously work on the level and improve it over a time of many weeks. Therefore I could enlarge the level and built in feedbacks I got here. In the end I will hopefully find closure and upload the level without any version number,

By the way: Your level is still very funny. I really enjoyed playing it again. Frankly, I have to say that I used the check point.. I was not good enough.
Therefore, I really think that check points will increase the success ratio in many levels and many people will be less frustrated. This update was a good thing!

Well, with the checkpoint system now in place, I guess I can finish my level that was made with those in mind. This was a welcome update.... except the extra Gnat Attack... That minigame was hard enough!

I noticed that the Mushroom-Powerup condition doesn't apply to just when they are in blocks. It also works with pipes or if the item is out in the open. That's a nice touch.

Haven't gotten to explore all the ins and outs of the new update, but thank you all for posting the info! Can't wait to check it out.

And now with the checkpoints, I went back to my 999 level and added a checkpoint at the halfway mark. Should make it more enjoyable for more players, but it can still be easily beaten in 1 run without dying. (Current record is 183 still left on the clock)

@sjmartin: Rosalina's Starry Night could benefit from checkpoints. I got to start of first blue skull section, but couldn't get further. Did you know that you can bit cheese in blue platform section right after first jump you need to make over starspikesquare. If you're Rosalina, you can jump to end of spikes just before star run section.
